Hello all,

I think I've managed to confuse myself after searching for information on this forum. If I am going from MGM to MK, I can take a bus which will drop me off at the TTC and then I can do the monorail or ferry - got that down.

BUT - to go back to the All Stars from MK, the buses stop right out front of the park and I do not have to go back through the TTC? Is that right? This is where I am confused.

THANKS!

Yep, like Safety Mom said, just get in the bus que for All Stars right when you exit Magic Kingdom. No need to go to TTC.

When going between MK and another park, the TTC will be involved.

When going between MK and ANY resort, the bus stop right outside MK is involved.

Thanks everyone - just wanted to make sure I had it straight.

When I go to MK from another park, I don't fool with the TTC and the monorail, I just take a bus to the Contemporary and walk to Magic Kingdom.

I would also skip the TTC and take a bus from the Studios to any of the Magic Kingdom resorts (Contemporary, Poly, GF). You can then just monorail over to the MK, or take the ten minute walk from the Contemporary.

Just got back from our trip in October. We were able to take buses from one park to another park.

Quite honestly, in all the years we have gone to WDW I don't remember seeing that option before. I don't know if we just missed it in the past or if this is new, but we definately went from park to park on buses. No TTC involved.

Well, the busses between parks have been operating since MGM opened in 1989.

The TTC comes into play ONLY when you are trying to get to or go from MK to another park.

So the OP should be able to take a bus directly from MGM to MK, right?

Park to park requires a stop at the TTC.

Unless I lost my mind within the last two weeks (which could entirely be true), I know that we took a bus from park to park without going to TTC. Why do I feel like I'm off my rocker? :confused3

Well when I went several weeks ago the bus driver kept stressing how if you were going to another park you needed to catch the bus at MK at the TTC. If you were going to a resort you took the bus that was in front of the MK.

We went from WL to MGM. Got off in front of MGM. We went from MGM to MK and got off at the TTC.

As long a you are not at MK or trying to get to MK, you do NOT go to the TTC when going between the parks.

In order worrds

AK-Epcot DIRECT
Epcot- MGM DIRECT
AK-MGM DIRECT
AK-MK TTC
Epcot-MK TTC
MGM-MK TTC

I agree with betterlatethannever that only the Magic Kingdom does not have buses to the other parks. We found this out in June when we left the MK and tried to find a bus to the AK. We checked all the signs and there were no buses to anyplace other than the Disney resorts. So we just walked over to the Contemporary and caught a bus to the AK from there.
