Confused about annual dues

We just bought into DVC this past June and I was told that annual dues are due by Jan 15th.

We received a bill and it says Dec. 1st. So my question is do we pay on Dec. 1st or Jan. 15th?

Any information from seasoned DVC owners would be appreciated! TYIA.

If you bought into VGF, those are your pro-rated dues for 2013. (Basically annual dues for Oct 23 - Dec 31)...somewhere around 1.00 a point, i forget i paid mine a while back.

No - the December 1st is for the 2013 dues. You will get another bill due in January for the 2014 dues.

I think you better check with MS accounting and verify what that is for to make sure you are not paying something that needs not be paid

If you log into your DVC online account, it should give a due date there.

The due date for our prorated 2013 dues is January 15th.

They may have more than one date. If I remember correctly when we bought BLT we ended up in a later due date to some members (We bought about half a year before it opened). Not certain why/where the split occurred but some people's dues were due before ours. I am pretty certain there was a thread about it on the boards back when BLT first opened.

Yeah, this is the reason if I were them, personally, I would look at my online account to help determine the due date.

I was just stating that my due date was different. Not meaning because mine was January 15th, that theirs must be also. Just pointing out that just because they're prorated 2013 dues, doesn't mean everyone's are due before the first of the year, as mine are not.

That's interesting that you had the same experience at BLT. I guess this might be happening the same way!
