I seem to remember that if you eat at a TS restaurant everyone at the table must be on the DP. You can't split 2 on DP, 2 on DxDP and 2 on cash for example? In other words if one couple is DxDP all three couples must be DxDP?



My friends are under the impression you can split it up. We won't be on the same Package Reservations, just dining together.

You can split up your payments anyway you want - they will bring you separate checks.

The only thing you CAN'T do is use your dining credits to buy someone else's meal that is not on your DDP.

And you can make ADRs for any # of people that you need - DDP or not, on your reservation or not.

Vicki is correct. Mixed parties dine together all the time at Disney TS. Last trip, we routinely dined with another family, where 4 people were on DxDP and 4 people were on DDP. On our next trip, we have a large group that includes 7 on DxDP and 3 OOP.

The point of confusion might be the fact that everyone on the same resort reservation must be on the same dining plan (or none at all), but that doesn't apply to restaurant reservations.

I was just at WDW last week (Sept 10th-18th). I dined almost every meal with some fellow DISers. They were on the DDP, while I used the TiW card (and used a Disney gift card for payment). It was not a problem and there were a couple of meals where they ordered appetizers and we were able to use my TiW card to get the 20% off for their appetizers too. The waiters just brought seperate tickets. I paid for my meals, they paid for their appetizers (using my 20% off), and then used their DDP for their entrees and desserts. Now at Flying Fish, for some reason I had to pay for their appetizers with my check in order to get the 20% off and they just paid me back.

When we ordered, we just told the waiters who was on the DDP and who was OOP with the TiW card. It was never a problem.
