Conflicted over choosing a MNSSHP Date

We will be in the World from Sept 27 to Oct 5.
I cannot decide between the Friday (Sept 28) MNSSHP or the Sun (Sept 30) parties. (October 4 is out, as we have an 8:05 ADR at CRT on the 5th).

On one hand, 9-28 is a Friday, and will attract a lot of locals:

But Oct 01 is Epcot's anniversary, so I think a lot of people who came in for that may hit the party the night before.

I don't think there'll be any significance to the fact that October 1st is Epcot's anniversary. Last year's September 30th party sold out, but the impression I got is that it was a combination of it being a Friday and the 40th anniversary of WDW the next day, which in my opinion was a much bigger deal than the 30th anniversary of Epcot is going to be. I'd go with the Sunday party.

We will be there the same time! I chose Sept 30 party in hopes that locals won't want their kids out late on a night before school! Fingers crossed I chose right, I hate to be

pick your oct date because I plan to go the 28th and that will make one less family in the park for me

We're going on the 28th. It's our first time going to the halloween party....It's probably gonna be somewhat crowded either choice you make. From what my family and friends have said (who've been there in previous years during both October AND September) September dates are a little better than most October dates. The closer it gets to Halloween, the busier it'll be. Hope you have fun either way!!

Are you a stalker?!! (just kidding)..We are going Sept. 27 - Oct. 5. Our friends leave on the 4th, so that is not an option for us either..When I posted last month trying to decide on the same nights, and the conventional wisdom was that Sunday parties are less crowded. I know that is usually the case, but with the 28th being the first night of food and wine, I think the 28th might still be a good option.

We went with the 30th , only because the 28th is our first full day in the parks. We wanted to sleep in and go to the party early (4:00 ish) in order to get the most out of it and we like to do the party mid-way through our trip anyway. Just received my tix in the mail!!

We are probably dressing up as villains and princesses, in a group of 11.
