confirming room requests

We will be arriving at the WL between noon and 1:00 on Friday. When we booked our 2 rooms with AAA we requested adjoining or connecting rooms. Is it necessary that I call WDW reservations to confirm the request? I called the WL but was forwarded on the reservations. The only choices on the automated system were to make new or modify existing. We have never called to confirm on any of our past trips, but I am a little concerned with the lodge being totally booked.

1) Ressies made by a travel agent have to be continued through the TA.
2) You can't call WDW and make REQUESTS.
3) The options are for changing the actual ressie.
4) You must trust the TA to have made the requests.
5) Just remember, requests are just requests - no guarantees.

I know they are just requests. What is odd is that it was our TA that suggested we call five days in advance....go figure.

Call your TA and ask her to call Disney to reconfirm the request.
