Confirming Restaurant Reservations?

Is there any way to confirm restaurant reservations after you have made them on the phone, and if so, does anyone do this? Today was my first experience calling DLP Dining to make 3 reservations for my trip in July. The CM had a French accent but spoke excellent English, but she was a little "goofy" and caught her own mistake the first time- after I had completed my first reservation for Auberge for 26 July and I moved on to asking for 28 July, she said "oh wait I think I was on June" and she had to go back and change my reservation from 26 June to 26 July. Then I asked for Inventions brunch for 28 July and she said "ok mickey cafe for 28 July" and I had to say "no, Inventions". I was able to make all 3 reservations I wanted in the end but it feels really uncomfortable to me that I do not get a confirmation number or email like at WDW. I am not even sure she spelled my name right. What happens if I get there and they say they cannot find my reservation because she put it on the wrong day or name or place? Is it possible for me to call back later today and get a different CM and ask them to check my reservations to confirm they are correct? Does anyone do this or am I just worrying for no reason?

I had the exact some problems when I rung. So, to put my mind at rest, I called back later that day to check they had them correct.

The woman I'd spoken to first had put my surname down wrong with 'D' intead of 'B' but as I could give her the time and restuarant I booked she was able to locate them that way.

I would also recommend going to the Conceierge when you arrive to ask for a print out of all your reservations, that way you have the little slips you can hand in at each restuarant rather than them having to check their records each time.

Happens to me frequently for some reason. My last name has exactly 5 letters and they still screw up about 50 percent of the time.

If it happens I just stand my ground, suggest several alternate spellings that I've been found under in the past and even if they did not find me I've always been let in. It seems the restaurants are used to the reservation lines doing this to an extent.

Thank you both for the reassurance that this is fairly common! I did call back a few minutes ago and the CM this time seemed more helpful. She asked for the spelling of my name and I spelled it and she said she could not find it but asked what day/time the reservation was for. I told her and then she laughed and said she found it, the previous person had put my last name as my first name and that is why it did not show up. She was able to correct it on all 3 of my reservations and she confirmed that the Inventions brunch was the princess theme so I feel much better now knowing that my reservations are correct. She read them all back to me and they matched the correct places/dates/times so that is a relief!
