Just wondering how many people call and confirm restaurant reservations, times etc before a trip?

I just called to make a small adjustment to a reservation and when I gave him the confirmation # which was suppose to be for Boma on an AK day...it was actually for Kona Cafe?...which got me wondering if I should call back and confirm our other reservations.

I usually don't, but for our next trip I've called more than once to make changes. Last time I called she looked up all my ADRs by my phone number and read them back to me. One was off by 5 minutes from what I thought I'd booked--no biggie, everything else looked fine.

I'm paranoid, every time I call to change or cancel something I'm afraid they'll wipe out everything!:scared1:

Yep....and I plan to do so every time. One bad experience and you learn that the CMs are human, overworked, and apparently hard of hearing sometimes, lol.

I'd made reservations for 10 days in one phone call.....and when I called back to make reservations for day 11, was told I already have reservations on that date. Ummm, no that restaurant was for the day before....same confirmation number, wrong date. So we try to fix that and lo and behold I already have a reservation for yesterday too...but that was for the day before that! And so it goes....she'd put nothing for our first day of arrival and then had put everything else one day ahead. We'd have been mighty hungry, and might upset, had we arrived that first night to find our reservation was 24 hours later! Not to mention the other reservations not matching with what we had planned for the day beyond food! What a nightmare it could have been. Because of that error we never did get to go to Chef Mickey, because we wanted breakfast not brunch (of course now I realize we would have been better off with a later meal, but at the time.....)

So....I called the week after we fixed that and made the poor lady read back every single one of our reservations.....and then because I'd been so thrown by the experience, I did the same thing a week before we left, just to be sure.

Ok, off topic vent here, skip if you want.......I really, really wish they'd put those ADRs into your account on their website....it seems like it would save them a lot of time, because I know I'm not the only one who checks, or can't find their ADR #s and calls. If I could go to the website and print out all my ADRs it would be soooo cool.

Ahhhh, dreams.
