Hey everyone.

Just asking for some prayers and pixie dust for my sister.
She was diagnosed yesterday with MS.

I had posted a week ago that she might have it.
She had her MRI last Wednesday.

She is going for a second opinion. The doctor at OSU said it would be a good idea to get one.

She is a little upset, but doing okay. I am a little upset, too.

I know she will do alright. It's just difficult when you are not sure when the next attack will be, or where it will be.

Thanks...

I'm sending good wishes your sister's way! I know this can be scary, especially at first. I know four people with MS and although there are the bad times, they are all able to maintain a very good quality of life.

*hugs* to help dispell some of your fears and worries. I've had MS for over 20 years and it's only been slightly annoying, nothing major. I hope your sisters is as uncomplicated and as mild as mine........ :)

 Im so sorry You and your sister will be in our prayers!

I am so sorry to hear of the news. Your sister will be in my prayers.

{{{HUGS}}} sweetie, sounds like a very scary time for everyone :(

I hope the second opinion offers hope.

my dad has MS and although he is not exactly what he use to be he is one heck of a guy :) He has had it more then half of my life now and he makes the best out of it. It doesn't end your life, it just changes it a tad.

Thanks everyone..

DisMN: Thanks for that encouragement. It's good to hear that you are doing well.

She is worried because she does so much stuff. She does not want to slow down. The biggest thing she does is volunteer for the Red Cross. She goes out on calls when there is a fire, etc.

Plus, the list goes on.

Ginna74...hugs to you! Sounds like you have a great dad!

Do any of you know how someone gets this? Is it hereditary?

Thanks.

I am thinking of you and your sister. My aunt has had MS since the late 70's. She is such an amazing person and I so admire her courage and strength.
