Yeah that is why I quantified Alberta/Ontario vs rest of the country but someone from Ontario didn't get it and that doesn't make sense in terms of 'promotion' but I'd not think it would be promotion to indicate you are leaving and another is taking your place.

The letter does, none the less, have a DVC communication disclaimer at the bottom, although not the one that includes the disclaimer that "the purpose of this commuication is to sell timeshares..."

I get other updates from DVC so that's what confuses me.
