I just got off the phone with Disney Dining and they confirmed that there was a computer glitch so the release date was put off until tomorrow. This of course happened b/c I actually got through at 7am. :surfweb:

This is one of the many things that I would write a letter about. If you offer it, then you should be able to deliver. To tell people, some of whom are making long distance phone calls to book that there is a computer glich does not sit right with me. Just not good business practice and yet we keep calling back and trying to get the reservation.

Thanks for letting us know what is going on with Disney and the CP.

I spent 25 minutes on hold before I was told about the change. :confused3 You would think that they could have a pre-recorded message to let you know about the change so you don't run up your phone bill on hold. :furious:

I hear ya.....it is not good business practice to do that to the paying public. I do have unlimited long distance, it is a plan offered in my area, and I do have many friends who live outside my home state.....so I would be annoyed but not racking up long distance minutes.. Not good. :grouphug:

DH left for work ealry so he would be in and settled, ready to call by 7:00. Looks like he will be doing it again tomorrow. ;)

I'm not worried about the lond distance thing since I use my cell phone. But that's really beside the point. I would've never gotten up so early today if it wasn't to call Disney.

I also have to call tomorrow for my Feb ADR's anyway, since my 180 day mark for that is tomorrow, but that's also beside the point.

I agree, we should of been able to book the CP dinners today, but we're a captive audience, so no matter what, we'll still all be calling tomorrow.

I just hope that people, (and I'm sure everyone on the DIS knows better,)calling don't take it out on the CM's answering the phones. I work as a cashier, and I can't stand when people get mad at me for things I have no control over.

Gosh wouldn't that be nice. :)

In this case, CP means "Candlelight Processional" - a seasonal event that Disney presents around the end-of-year holidays. However, CP is one of the more common abbreviations. Typically, when you see CP, it means Crystal Palace, a character meal/buffet restaurant in the Magic Kingdom.

Just to clarify, the CP is not a hard ticketed event. It is free to anyone in the park (Epcot). However, due to long waits for the show, guests can purchase a CP Package which includes a meal at a select restaurant and seating for the show.

Here is some information that may help you, atinkerbell.

And welcome to the Dis!

I am not sure that there was ever an "official" announcement from Disney. Someone posted yesterday that the web was not updated. I assume some CMs must have told folks individually that the booking was starting, but the Special Events page on the website is still not saying anything about booking.

(And Disney tries to control what CMs tell us, but isn't always successful. Just read the codes board)

You guys should be using the 800 number for making your ADR's. I have made ADR ressies with this number for the last 6 years. No long distance charges.

1-800-828-0228

What time do the phone lines open?
