We just recently joined the DVC. We bought at AKV and got 200 incentive points which we are using for a couple of vacations this year. When I made the reservations, they said I would get an email confirmation in a few days and when I never got it and called back and they said it could take up to 2 weeks. It has now been 3 weeks, should I have gotten an email confirmation by now? Would it be on the member website? Should I call back again and ask? Any suggestions would be most obliged. Thanks.

Hi! Let me be the first to say WELCOME HOME!!! I just purchased DVC too and I made my reservations for my Sept trip the same day I paid my deposit and received my email confirmation the following week. I believe it was about 5 days. I would definately call back to MS.

It definitely should be on the website--my ressie showed up as soon as I got off the phone with MS. Now, I have never received an email. When I try and update my email on the website, I get an error message suggesting I call member administration. When I did that, MA told me they have nothing to do with the website, that I needed to speak with MS. MS told me I just needed to change my email, not on the profile page, but on the page for receiving promotional emails, which she assurred me was the same thing (even though if you actually get on the website, it is not the same thing). So, I don't get emails about my ressies (though I've gotten letters in the mail, about 1 1/2 weeks later), and no one at the DVC seems to know how to change that.:confused3 If it is not on the website (and it should be there and available to print), then I would request a letter via snail mail. Good luck! and congrats on joining!

I have never gotten an email either - I do get written confirmation in snail mail however.

I don't believe reservations made with Developer (incentive) points ever show on the website. Someone will correct me if that's incorrect.

Call MS back and ask for at least the confirmation number. You should get some type of written confirmation - either the standard snail mail version or the email or maybe both. 3 weeks is a long time to wait. I don't think they are that far behind, but it's possible. The reservations made with the Developers points are done manually.

Yes, that is correct. Developer reservations does not appear on the member website.

I called them yesterday and they said the email was sent out, but I never received it. I doubled checked that they had the right email and it was correct. They said they are going to send another one, but I don't have very high hopes. The lady kept saying, "don't worry you are in the system," but I really don't want to get down there and have no written confirmation and they say, "We don't seem to have any reservation for you here..." because somehow it gets deleted because that has happened to me before at the BWI, but since I had every correspondence in hand, they knew they made a mistake, so they even upgraded us. I just wanted a room. I really do not want to get down there and have no place to stay. How long should I wait for this batch of emails to get through before I call again? I don't know. I am quickly becoming disenchanted with this whole process.

Do you have the address that the e-mail is coming from in your computer's address book? I know there have been times that I haven't received e-mails because my program automatically filters them out (doesn't even go into junk mail folder)! Something to check into, anyway. I absolutely would want a physical copy of the reservation in my hands, too!

Can you ask them to send you written confirmation via regular mail?

I have always been told that I would receive an email confirmation after making our reservations. I have never received the emails but I always receive a written confirmation via snail mail.
