Confirm/deny "engaged" wdw buttons ?

Can anyone confirm or deny if they still hand out these "just engaged" buttons in WDW ?
My daughter was just proposed to at BLT on Sunday during the Wishes fireworks. I saw these buttons online, called the front desk at the Contemporary and spoke to two CM's. Neither seemed to know anything about them. When I asked if there was "anything" they could send to the room, they said, "well, we have blank buttons that say we're celebrating and they can write them in themselves". Disney Florist is nice but I just don't have an extra $100 with three kids in college and less than a week before Christmas. They don't seem to have anything for engagements in the under $50 category.
I guess I expected a little more from the Contemp CM's when I called to ask if anything could be done for a newly engaged couple in WDW !?

We were just there in October (staying at the BW) and got them from the front desk no problem! We saw tons of them and I'm sure they are around. Have them ask in one of the parks or try the Grand as it seems they have a big supply of all the buttons there (that's where our wedding planners get them from) Congrats to them!

when you call the "front desk" number to the contemporary--it's not really the front desk--it's a call center. they don't always have all the info. i'm sorry this happened. the buttons are everywhere, so they shouldn't have a problem finding them elsewhere!!

You are right, but I was put on hold and transferred to the front desk Contemporary---at least that's what they told me. So those were the two CM's I spoke with. The first one said she "thought" they had those buttons but would transfer me to someone who knew for sure. The second CM said "no she didn't know what I was talking about". So confusing. I get MUCH better answers and attention to questions/issue here on the DIS !

I doubt they would discontinue those buttons unless they choose to discontinue all their buttons. I really hope they don't anyway, as me and my DBF is planning to get engaged on our trip!

Fingers crossed for you....boo on Contemporary for being less-than-magical-and less-than-knowlegeable ! The CM at the GF was so much friendlier and knew more !

I truly hope she was confused and thought you were referring to the Just Married buttons!! If these are indeed next on the chopping block I'd love to hear Disney's explanation this time!

I run into stuff like this all the time. I think MANY CM's are "confused".....just sayin'

Oh yay!!! I'm so happy to hear that!!! DF and I recently got engaged, and we are going to WDW next month to celebrate!!! I was really hoping to get some of these buttons, but was worried they were discontinued! We're staying at POFQ, so hopefully they have them at the front desk there. If not, we will be heading to the GF!!!

you need to just ask at any guest services anywhere if you are looking for wither one. this is the first i’ve noticed someone saying the engaged buttons are in limited supply, but even if they were discontinued, it would take a while to completely run out - i got married almost a year ago and it was still the big deal that the actual just married buttons were done. well, my MOH had 2 of them in a surprise shower gift and there they were. she just asked at the desk at the poly and they had them...

We just got engaged in October and got the buttons no sweat as well! I wonder who is saying "we discontinued them" and if they are sure they are talking about the right buttons! But I'm glad you found them!

Just to clarify...the two CM's who told me they had been discontinued were at the Call Center when you first phone in and ask to be connected with a hotel----then once transferred to the Contemporary main desk, they also stated they had been discontinued.
Grand Floridian front desk informed me they had plenty and my daughter stopped at Guest Services Disney Studios and they also had them. Just be VERY persistant
