This is what I love about Dis. It never, ever would have occurred to me to make an autograph book before the trip! Awesome idea!!!

WELCOME!!! :banana::goodvibes

Yep, gotta love the Dis- it's all in the details. :thumbsup2

Have you looked at the DISign boards Amanda? There are some super cute autograph book ideas. :rolleyes1:

We had a circus in Karen's kitchen today! That's right folks it was Dumbo day. :dumbo:

Karen and I pretty much decided last week after we racked our brains to come up with food and puny decorations for a movie that the girls didn't even watch that we were taking over! We'll pick the movies based on whether or not we think we can come up with a fun theme (and one that will make for good photo ops of course). Well, wouldn't you know that they actually DID watch this movie. Go figure.

Anyway, we thought Dumbo would be fun because a circus is a great theme. And we were right! It turned out pretty cute...

We had a striped sheet for our Big Top (courtesy of M.A.).

On the table we had a three ring stuffed animal circus, balloon animals, and some circus food- popcorn, animal crackers and big pretzels.

And Karen made a fun activity pack.

While the girls watched the movie and played Karen and I sat in the sunshine. :goodvibes It was a great Disney day! Next Monday also happens to be ADR day so we have something special planned...

How cute is your dumbo day!

I'm glad that the price on mimeo.com is good...I never looked at it LOL. DH delivers for FedEx and he gets all his good online purchasing places from the stuff he delivers, and I guess he's been delivering a bunch of that lately!

SO excited about free dining rumors! I still don't believe they'll release it on a Sunday, but it would be very exciting if they did!

Wow, you made that "tent" look WAY better than it actually looked! THAT is a sign of a good photographer! I don't know if I'll even post my pics, they will need heavy editing, not sure what happened with that yesterday, but the colors are so bright, it almost hurts my eyes! :confused3

Southwest is taunting me!!! Don't they know I'm anxiously waiting to buy my tickets?? :confused3

Now that I'm considering this, I'm worried...if it's glossy paper, how do the signatures work? Do they smear???? :confused3

I scoured the disign boards and everyone who has used snapfish, artscow, or shutterfly says that they work great with a retractable sharpie so this is what I'm going to do for the autograph books. I'm still undecided with the passports though. I found one on ebay that is okay- it has a cute inside cover that looks like a real passport and you even email the woman a pic and info to fill it in. HOWEVER I'm not crazy about the look of the pages AND it's no cheaper than the actual passport we could just buy at Epcot.

I could make the passports as well and there are some cute disigns on the boards but I like the booklet look of the actual passport as opposed to the spiral binding. I guess I just like that it actually kind of looks like a passport and it differentiates it from the autograph book. I'd really like to have it before we go though and for some reason disneystore sells autograph books found in the parks but not passports. :confused3

Oh well, the great thing about having a laptop and wireless internet is that I can go sit in the sunshine while I research and wait for airfare. :rolleyes1

Haha. Yesterday DH read that they were going to come out today and he was SO disappointed when he read they release them at 11 am when he got up this morning! I'm leaving the buying to him, but we'll be buying them when he gets home tonight!

Happy plane ticket shopping! :cool1:

They're out! Did you see???? 79$ each way, looks like $180 a ticket for you after all is said and done. I think that's a great deal! Looks like Saturday is the cheapest to fly in and out, as we expected. So excited for you!!!!! :cool1:

I saw!! I'm debating right now whether to fly out of KC or STL. The price is about the same (72 and 79) but the only nonstop flight from STL at the cheap rate doesn't get to Orlando until almost 4:00. We can arrive a couple of hours earlier flying out of KC, have a nonstop flight, and I just like the layout better in KC. However STL is sooo much closer. I think I'm going to have to talk to Robbie and see if he thinks the extra hour (maybe hour and a half) drive is worth the nonstop flight and earlier arrival.

Well, Southwest made my decision for me. I called Robbie to see what he thought and he agreed that KC sounded like the best choice. Soooo... I went to book it and all of a sudden there aren't any flights left at the prices quoted. No big deal, I'll just choose another flight right? Wrong. The only other flights out of KC would have had us getting to Orlando so late that we wouldn't have had time to do anything except eat when we got there. :sad2:

So we went with STL. Not a big deal EXCEPT that the original flight was MUCH cheaper because of taxes and fees. From the time I started searching until the time I booked the fees had changed so much that my total was about $130 more than the original total for the flight I didn't get. :confused3

I'm also waiting to hear back from them because it was AFTER I'd authorized payement that they said, "OOPS, this flight isn't available." Now my paypal account shows the original flight I didn't get and the one I actually got as payment pending. I haven't gotten through to SW yet to make sure I'm not being double charged, I'm waiting for them to return my call.

So much hassle! I just keep telling myself it will be worth it and when we're at WDW today will be a distant memory.

So, what'd we get you ask?

We'll arrive in Orlando at 2:10 on Saturday, September 25th and leave at 2:45 on Saturday, October 2. Not too bad. We'll have some time at DTD on both our arrival and departure days if we want and it came in under what I'd budgeted for airfare. $1.80 under.

Great job, Hope. I love SWA! I've never had a situation like that happen to me. Sorry.

to try the Beverly soft drink at the Coke place (whatever its called now)?

It tastes like feet. :scared1: :lmao: Seriously.

I'd like to see Jace's face when he takes a gulp.

Hooray for booking flights! Our airfare is still more expensive than I wanted and I'm still hoping it goes down.

Amanda
