Confessions of an obsessive planner... Let the countdown begin!!

Wooot! We got the rest of our fun stuff in the mail today! This stuff has been trickling in all week but I wanted to wait until it was all here to post the pics. We got our binders and put in the pages for the journals, lanyards, pins and glow necklaces.

Kya got a Tinkerbell lanyard, Jace got Camp Rock (the choices for boys were slim, especially since he's kind of outgrown Cars and Toy Story) and they both got 10 pins for the lanyard.

The journals turned out great! You can see the covers in the first picture. I got pages from Natalie (donatalie). Most of the pages are paired- the left side has a few questions to answer and stars to color in to rate the park/dinner/etc and the right side has a place for a picture.

I put in pages for each park, character dining, Disney transportation, the resort, parades and fireworks shows, MNSSHP, pin trading and pressed pennies. I also put in a couple of pages just for random pictures. Some of those, like pin trading and transportation, only have one page instead of the pairs.

The glow necklaces are great too. They're actually only 8 inches so two have to be hooked together for a necklace but Kya is excited to put these on her shoes, in her hair, and have lots of necklaces and bracelets. Since we got so many we'll probably use some for Spectro/Wishes (which is why we ordered them) and still have some left for MNSSHP.

This is the last of the fun stuff. I still need a camera bag but I'm getting a cheap one, not a flashy one. I also want to get the kids some Teva mush flip flops. But as for our special, fun Disney purchases and projects I'm done.

Did you print the pages for the journals yourself? I am in the (slow, very slow) process of doing that, but it's just a lot of pages, since I want to do the attraction ones too! DH wants me to use those clear "sleeves" for the pages, just like you did. He keeps bugging me about it, and actually bought some at the store the other day haha.

Glad you found good prices on pins. We had the problem of liking the pins that we got too much so we want to keep them!

Sounds like Kya is going to have fun with the glow bracelets/necklaces!

Hey, if you get down to the wire and haven't gotten a camera bag, you can use mine! Erin also gave me a bag that I have never used, you can have it (needs to be cleaned up a bit!) I'm so excited for you guys!!!!!!!!

Hey Hope.....Oh, all your stuff looks so awesome!!! I'm in the process of packing the makeup, etc into my carryon. Our trips are getting soooo close now. Are the kids wicked excited??? Victoria wants to leave NOW!!!

I did print the pages myself. I saved them all into a folder and then printed the entire folder so I could just walk away. Good thing because it took FOREVER. I was really afraid I was going to run out of ink. I bought a new cartridge but then printed the shirt transfers on high quality and about 80 pages (40 each) for journals. The ink is still going strong though. I like the sleeves because they are acid free, scrapbook quality so I know the pictures they add will be protected and because we can add pages if we want. So, if the kids love a particular attraction we can add those pages when we get home.

The kids liked most of the pins they got but there were a few they said they wouldn't mind trading. They were sooo excited about those pins- I almost didn't get them because I wasn't sure if they would enjoy it but I'm so glad I did!

Yep, I think Kya's going go nuts with the glow jewelry. On the up side I know I'll be able to spot her.

Thanks I may have to take you up on that! Robbie (who has no insurance) had to go to the doctor and get two prescriptions filled yesterday so I had to dip into my Disney fund. I really MUST have a camera bag because I don't want the strap to break while I'm gone and mine isn't water resistant. I'll see you on Monday when we meet up with Summer if you want to bring me the one from Erin.

Thanks Ann! We are close and the kids are very excited- so am I! I had gotten into a lull for a while but now that I'm doing so much to get ready it's gotten me in the mood again.

Great stuff!!!! I like your journal pages alot! I printed out journal pages for my older 2 and had them bound at Staples ($3 per book). Yours turned out great!

Thanks Amanda! I considered getting the books bound- it was about the same cost as buying the binders and sleeves and it just looks more polished. In the end though I wanted the pictures to be protected and to be able to add/remove pages as needed. I'd love to see pics of yours!

Has anyone ordered the slipper dessert at 1900 PF? If so how far in advance do I need to/ can I order this? Our ADR is for our 2nd night so I thought I'd just put the order in on the first day but I'm not sure. Maybe I should order it from home right before we leave?

I am getting worried about how much I have left to do (which is ironic because I keep telling everyone else not to worry, it will all work out, ) It's not that there's so much to do as much as some of it has to wait until the last minute. I can't print out our itineraries until the week before because show times could change. I could start packing things we don't need for everyday but then I'd be tripping over suitcases for the next month and a half. So, instead I swing back and forth between obsessing about touring plans and where we'll eat to just not thinking about the trip at all. Today is an obsessing day.

I thought maybe I could put up my packing list and you guys could look it over and see if I forgot anything. So, here goes...

sinus/allergy medicines and stomach meds are on my list because I do not want to pay Disney prices for them and rather have them just in case.
dryer sheets in case you use them for laundry
if you plan on doing pressed pennies, coins for it
extra pin backs--I am going to pick ours up in Disney
can you download pictures from your camera using just your laptop or do you need a card reader?

I'm not sure about the body glide. I found a link for a free sample here on the dis but it takes 6 weeks to arrive so that won't help you!
