Confessions of an obsessive planner... Let the countdown begin!!

Popping in here to say HI! I didn't think it was nice that I was reading and not introducing myself!!!! (off to get tshirts to make the SW Lego shirts!)

Welcome!! :dance3: Good luck with your shirts. :goodvibes

:rotfl:
Amazon has it and we're "prime" members so I get free shipping anyway. It wasn't cheap but at least I'll get it in time!

Amanda

Glad you found it- comfort will be worth the cost in the long run. :thumbsup2

I got more shopping finished!! I'll try to post some pics later but I've been super busy today. I've been procrastinating getting that stuff listed on eBay but as our vacation draws closer I am more motivated to build up the fund for the little things we still need to pay for so I'm ferociously listing things. I've also dropped a little money in the last few days on some things- not a lot because it was all on sale or clearance- but still, it all adds up!

I got Jace new nylon shorts which he desperately needed. He only had one pair left and I didn't want him in heavy, hot denim on the trip. Not too bad though since Target had them on sale for $5. :thumbsup2

I also ordered Teva's for both of the kids. I really love mine and I wanted the kids to have good comfy shoes so I got them. The great thing is that Jace will probably outgrow his before he wears them out and they'll fit me. :woohoo:

And the pictures I'll be uploading later are of the skirts Kya got. :cutie: One is a very layered, ruffly, gauzy blue skirt that matches her Cinderella t-shirt for our 1900 PF dinner. The other is also a gauzy skirt but it's multi-colored leopard print skirt. It's more casual and not ruffly and she'll wear it with white stretch shorts underneath on one of our AK days. The blue was on clearance for $5 and the other was less than $10. :goodvibes I have to run but I'll try to get those pics up later!

I think I'm almost done with my last minute shopping, too. I say almost because I keep finding more things that we "need" for our trip! :lmao:

Amanda

Phew! I'm not the only one who is shopping away!!!! We went to AC moore to get shirts (2 for 5!!!!) and transfer paper. Add that to the shorts for Dh, crocs for me, sneakers for DH and I have spent some money this week!!!! Of course everything was on sale but still! It does add up fast!

Not sure if you planned on bringing one, but a power strip? Ususally the rooms don't have enough outlets for all we need to charge (phones, cameras, camcorders) so I bring one to plug everything in at!

How about ziplock bags for keeping things dry (like camera) on ride you might get wet on?

:lmao::lmao: Me too! I stopped myself today from buying Camp Rock activity books. We have plenty of stuff for the plane and airport but for some reason they just kept calling to me. I resisted though, I told myself that I could spend $6 today on those books we don't need or I could have six more dollars to take to Disney. Six bucks isn't much but if I save that much every time I go to the store then it will add up! :thumbsup2

Yay for getting your shirts- I'll pop over to your PTR to see how they turn out! (which I've started reading but haven't commented yet!) :rolleyes1

And yes, even on sale it all adds up!! :confused3

I picked up ziplock bags today, thanks for reminding me! I also realized that I forgot to put a razor and shaving cream on my original list. :scared1:

I've had to put things back at the store, too! :rotfl: I spent all this time making activity books for the kids but then I keep thinking I need to buy a coloring book or something. :rolleyes1

The adorable skirts we got for Kya...

001-5.jpg

I tried to get her to try on the complete outfits and let me take her picture but she just rolled her eyes. :rotfl:

The blue one is for 1900 PF to wear with the Cinderella shirt I made. The animal print one is for AK and she'll wear a purple tank top with it. She has stretchy shorts to wear under each so her skin doesn't rub and so she doesn't have to worry about bending over. :upsidedow

I got wet wipes at the dollar store today but they didn't have moleskin. I'll get that when I go to town this week. (I live between a small town and an even smaller town, I was in the smaller one today which only has a dollar store, K-mart lives in the 'big small town'. ;) ) I'm pretty sure moleskin is all I need to buy so I'll be glad to get it done. :cheer2:

I'm trying to get suitcases together now. We have a really big suitcase but I have to be sure not to go over the 50lb limit so we'll also need some smaller ones. Unfortunately we don't normally travel by plane (and the last time we checked a bag was '06 before weight limitations) so space has always been more important than weight. I have a friend with a wheeled suitcase we can use and I think I'll let each of the kids pack their own bag. They have wheeled carry on size suitcases my mom gave them but they also have backpacks so they can check their suitcases and carry on the backpacks. It will be a lot more bags to deal with but will keep us under the weight limit so thank goodness for DME! :wizard: Oh, and my brother has a backpack from college that has a place in it for a laptop so that can be my carryon. I'm glad because my laptop case is pretty much a fashion statement and not for convienence in the airport. :lmao:

I also realized that my packing list didn't include carry on items for the adults so I'll need to add books, magazines and sudoku to the list. We'll also need some snacks for travel. And a booklight in case I can't sleep at night since we'll all be in one little room together. Between my additions and the things you guys have reminded me of we're going to be hauling our whole house down!

I'm a little worried about the weight limits, too. Especially with the air mattress! I think I'll bring 4 suitcases instead of 3...

Amanda

PS Very cute skirts!!! Good job!

I have to say that I'm a little disappointed not to have anything to worry about anymore with my schedule... what am I going to do with all my free time? :rotfl:

I am still fine tuning touring plans and thought I'd share those with you one park day at a time so I could get your feedback without overwhelming you!

WOW, I just looked over our plans and

Sun we will be in AK.....Tues HS and Wed MK......I will have to study your picts so I can run up and say hi if we should pass each other on one of those days.....It would make for a cute picture in our TR!!!

Too funny! I'll be on the lookout for you! I bet since we're both good disers we'll see each other at rope drop. :rotfl:

PS Very cute skirts!!! Good job!

I think I have it figured out with two big suitcases and two small- we'll just put heavier stuff in the small bags because I know they won't get too full. I think I'll bring a duffel bag as well so I can move stuff around if I need to. We can check up to eight bags so a duffel in the bottom that can taken out when we check the bags will be free as opposed to paying for extra weight. :thumbsup2

And thanks, I love those skirts. :cutie:

I definately have Disney on the brain!! Last night Kya and I took a walk up the road and noticed we have our very own hidden Mickey...

We got our DME tags in the mail today! It really made the trip seem very real. :goodvibes

The kids also got their Tevas- which made me wish I'd ordered a new pair for myself.

I'm getting ready to go spend the afternoon celebrating NOT going back to school with our homeschool group- have a great day everyone!
