OMG, you guys are so great! What a welcome, how could anyone stay away with people like you here? I'm happy to see I'm not the only lurker (exlurker?) After the initial joy has worn off from finding a place with such a wealth of information, guilt sets in at taking said information and not passing any back. Hopefully I can pass on something to someone else, waiting, waiting, waiting for that upcoming trip so I can report back!
hygienejean-we are staying off site actually....we've done the resort twice and loved it, last two times, including this one, we invited friends and family and paid for it (what were we thinking?) so the resort really wasn't a good idea for us. We figured with 9+ people going, even with car rental and food we'd save money renting a house. (we're not economy living sort of people! We like the finer disney resorts! LOL) We've had good luck so far, knock wood, with homeowners, although the Disney resorts are great too. I liked both.
We are hitting
MNSSHP on the 12th. I can't wait. My dd's (5 and 2) are very excited. Even the two year old, I can't imagine she has any clue what we're doing but she's pumped every time we talk about our trip. She'll be the cutest Alice in Wonderland you've ever seen walking around the party. When are you going?
Nativetxn-funny, I grew up in MI and now live in Texas! Not Houston, but the DFW area. My dad still lives in mushy michigan (oh how I detested those winters. especially when all the snow turned grey and started to melt.) in about the middle of the mitt, between Alma and Grand Rapids. Are you familiar with that area by chance?
I've been to other boards where I've introduced myself and have gotten no reponse. You have impressed me beyond belief. My hats (ears?) off to you all. I promise to keep posting. May not be every day, but I'll be here.
