I feel kinda bad. Last week we were in US/IOA for 4 nights (3 days) and we were staying at Cabana Bay so we did not have FOTL access. We also did not choose to buy express passesas they are way expensive for a party of 8 people. So here's the story - we were waiting on line for Mummy in the area just before the stairs (I think) and all of a sudden, a stream of other guests came out of a side door and we all let them in and ahead of us. I am guessing that these were FOTL pass people since we had already been in the queue for a bit and this seemed to be an area where a shortcut could enter. At first we all just moved aside and let about 20 people through and then there was a break. Then another line started through that door and I stopped them and I said (a bit stern/almost mean) "nope, we're next" and I stopped the line from continuing. Then I felt a bit embarrassed that I acted that way - maybe it was the heat - haha. The family who came through at that time was very nice about it and I don't think they were intentionally trying to cut the line. But I now wonder if there is supposed to be a US cast member there to filter people in? What the heck happened there? Was I wrong? At this point it doesn't matter because that was a week ago but I'm still feeling a little embarrassed about it. Does anyone know what I'm talking about? Just curious. Thanks!

The FOTL actually comes through on the opposite side of the platform to the main line which is in the center (or at least it did in September). They shouldn't have mixed into your line at all. Don't know what happened there I'm afraid!

No, they wouldn't have been express people as they load from the opposite side of the tracks. Single riders perhaps or people just where they shouldn't have been?

That is single rider that goes up the last stairs side by side with regular line.

Aah - single riders. It seems odd that they would just enter the general population and not have a distinct line there for them. Oh well. Thanks for the clarification!

If they were physically entering the regular line than something was wrong, but defiantly not express line.

Single Rider should have had a distinct line all the way up to loading. At the stairs, the general line goes up the right side of the stairs and single rider goes up the left side of the stairs. But, they should have remained distinct.

I'm looking at staying in Cabana Bay resort next August with my partner we've both been to Orlando before but never with each other alone only with our families. I know that Cabana Bay does not include Express Passes but do you think that they are needed if it is only the two of us going? Or should we bite the bullet and pay700+ more for them to stay in Hard Rock?

For just two people, you can take advantage of the single rider lines. There are about 6 main attractions that have the single rider line.
