I only read the first couple lines, but that's not a murder confession. That's a claim of self-defense.

My thoughts exactly. And the last I knew he out-weighed Nichole by 100 pounds or more. Wasn't her neck slashed from behind? How do you defend yourself from behind someone? He's in the same catagory as Casey Anthony....a peice of you know what!

Ok, but if he confesses, he wouldn't face a trial, he would just go right to jail. I don't "think" that is the same as double jeopardy but we need our lawyers here to pipe in about that.

Wrong. He can confess with absolute impunity now, at least as it pertains to any state charges of murder. He was already charged and acquitted and cannot be charged again in California. Period.

Right. They can't charge him with murder again, but they could for other charges, like lying under oath, etc. Is that correct?

I don't think so. He never testified (he invoked his 5th amendment rights with the jury absent) so he never lied, at least not on the stand. I would also imagine the statute of limitations on perjury has past but I'm not sure.

What I really think is that Oprah needs to get over herself. A week or so ago she said that it was her dream to get OJ's confession.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, this story about him confessing is false.

Her network is performing abysmally and this is her best idea to boost ratings? It amazes me that she managed to have such a successful career thus far, because that is beyond lame.

I hope if he confesses anything, even if it's as simple as forgetting to make his bed when he was six, it's to anyone other than Oprah. This is a women who claims to be all about empowerment and blah, blah, blah. And her DREAM is to get a confession that would mean absolutely nothing?
