Conference ticket upgrade??

If we wanted to upgrade a conference parkhopper to an AP (a Disney Premier Passport to be exact), what is the value of the hopper? In WDW, for example, if you bought tickets before the price increase, used them at the turnstile once, they upgraded, the value of the ticket would be the current gate price (even though you paid a lower price) when figuring out the cost of the upgrade.
1) can conference tickets be upgraded in the first place?
2) what is the monetary value of the hopper if so, if I use it once to enter a park first (6 day hopper)?

I don't know about the conference ticket angle, but unfortunately at DLR they use the price you paid to figure the upgrade price--whether you've gone through the turnstiles or not.

Oh well, that just kills that idea then! I guess I will just have to do a regular AP renewal at WDW when mine expire. Phewy!
