The conference to Anaheim next year has just released the hotels. Please let me know what you think.

I had hoped to use the Candy Cane, but its rates are more than the max conference rate so my DH's employer won't pay for it.

your already getting a free hotel room... you might as well go for the most expensive one ^_^

In terms of Luxary, Marriott is the best.

We have stayed at the Anabella and really liked it. The room had a seperate small room with a day bed in it which was perfect for my daughter.

We were able to walk to the park, and the ART also picks up out front.

We would stay there again.

Just in case it may help you eliminate a few, I personally would not pick the Sheraton Anaheim (a shame because I loved it) or the Clarion because they allow pets and I couldn't chance it with my allergies or asthma if there had been pet hair in the room before me. Not sure if they dedicate certain rooms for people with pets to stay in all the time, but you may want to ask if you have allergies or asthma.

Just something to be aware of. If it doesn't pertain to you, please ignore, but I thought it might be useful.

I would pick the Hilton or Marriott if onyl because there are a lot of restaurant choices between the two!

They do dedicate certain rooms for pets but you see no sign of them anywhere...I love Sheraton Anaheim...I stay there everytime I go to DL with the exception of last week when I stayed at DLH but I did stay there for the first 2 nights...it is so comfortable and imo is very luxurious...if you havent been lately you should really consider checking it out...

We loved the Hilton Anaheim. Also, many of their rooms have wonderful views of the parks and fireworks! Our did - it was AWESOME! :thumbsup2

It also has a great pool area with four hot tubs, and their room service food with delicious. :cool1:

That's good to know! I am glad they dedicate. I'm not worried about seeing them, just that if I got a room a pet was just in and there was hair all over the curtains/floor/bedspread, I would not be doing well. I loved the Sheraton when it was Coast Anaheim, but don't know if I'll be able to chance it now!

Just wanted to clarify and make sure we were talking about the same hotel. The Sheraton Anaheim is a different one than the Sheraton Park that was in her poll. The Sheraton park was the Coast Anaheim before and they accept pets. Not sure about the Sheraton Anaheim, I haven't stayed there but I have heard good things!!

We've stayed at both the Anaheim Hilton and the Anaheim Marriott. Must say that the Anaheim Marriott is by far the more luxury hotel than the Hilton. Marriott rooms were just nicer and updated, with very comfortable bedding and nice sized bathrooms. Just an absolutely nice hotel to go back to after a day at Disney. And the price at $110 is very good for the Marriott.

Our experience at the Hilton was not great. Hilton standard rooms (probably what you'll be given at a conference rate) seemed to be of lesser quality than those standard rooms at the Marriott. Our Hilton room was of '80s decor and the beds were old and indented, and we found lots of dirt/stains on the floor. Our bathroom (especially the tiles) had brown grout and brown liquid on the floor, the air vent dripped water, and the bathrooms were also so small that it was hard to squeeze 2 adults/children in there at the same time (and I'm not a big person, just 5'1" and 100lb). I asked Front Desk if we could switch rooms as we thought our room was dirty, and they informed us that "all rooms were the same". Hmmm, I guess that meant "no". We were impressed with the Hilton lobby, public areas, and dining selections, which lured us into this hotel in the first place...but the rooms and the customer service really disappointed us.
