Condos for Rent in the Area.....HELP! Information On Westgate Villas Wanted

I have posted on numerous sites to try to get the information I need...does anyone know anything about Westgate Vacation Villas????
I have seen some BAD reviews and some GOOD ones. I need to book very soon and don't want to check into the 'roach motel'!
ANY information will be greatly appreciated!

Hi. We haven't stayed at the Westgate Villas (Kissimmee), but we have stayed at the Westgate Lakes (Orlando) in a 1 bedroom once...it was nice but they don't have non-smoking so there was a lingering smell/smoke that caused a lot of respiratory problems for me and I spent precious vacation time getting emergency medical care (first time in all our Disney trips). Hopefully you will get more info from someone who has actually stayed at the villas.

I'm sure you'll get some replies on this thread, but would also suggest using the search feature on this board and typing in "Westgate". That will bring up recent posts on Westgate and maybe give you a better idea - I haven't stayed there and commenets, but the resort does get discussed a fair amount on this board (some comments are negative, some positive).

We own at Westgate (the Villas) and stay there whenever we go to Disney.

We have never experienced any "roach motel" conditions. Generally everything has been very nice. One time we had a problems w/ some ants--small ones and not a lot--maintianance came and sprayed and it was fine. I think another time, our patio door was hard to open and they came and fixed that. There have not been many problems and they are fixed in a very appropriate amount of time. I don't remember about the smoking in the units. I know we would request a non-smoking unit if possible, and we haven't had any that smelled like smoke. My DFIL always went outside to smoke, so I am thinking there might be some non-smoking units at the Villas. I am pretty sure DFIL would have smoked in their bedroom if he could have. (And I know I would have smelled that!!LOL!)

There are lots of amenities, many pools, bikes to rent, paddle boats, parties, game room, etc.

You should have a great time there! We have sent quite a few people when they rented weeks from us and they have loved it. Several have even rented from us more than once.
