Hope this is the right place to post. My extended family (my two parents, my brother, his wife, and three kids, and myself, hubby, and two kids) are travelling to Disney at the end of April 2008.

Any suggestions for an 11- or 12-person condo? We'd like five bedrooms, three bathrooms at a minimum. And we're willing to pay up to $1000 for six nights. We'd also like to be within 20 minutes of WDW.

Thanks for any help you have to offer! We're so excited, as we've had this on the calendar for FOUR YEARS already! We've just been waiting for the youngest kid to turn five (next March). And the best part of the whole thing??? Grandpa's paying for EVERYONE!!!

I don't have firsthand knowledge of units that are available and meet your criteria. However if you haven't done so, I'd suggest www.vrbo.com as a source for a ton of rentals in most resort and beach areas. All individual owners renting directly to vacationing people. This will give you an idea what is available in your price range and what other accommodations are available at various rates. HTH

This March will be our 2nd booking through Award Pool Homes. We were extremely happy last year with the 4 bedroom, 3 bath house we rented. We visited WDW with DH's best friend and our two children and it was a perfect setup. We had our own screened in pool, kitchen, laundry, tons of room.

The house we stayed at was in the Greater Groves section and was called "Tangerine Dream Home". It was impeccably clean and very comfortable. Just as nice, if not nicer than a 4-star hotel.

I was a little leary of renting a house, but DH talked me into it and I was very pleasantly surprised. I doubt we'll ever go back to a WDW hotel (at least until our kids are older).

This year, we will be staying at the Powley Home. We can't wait!

Check out their website. Their largest homes are 5 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms.

We are paying around $120 a night this March.

Hope this helps!

I'm not sure that you will find a condo with 5 bedrooms. You could get 2 condo units with 2 or 3 beds each. Most condos have 3 bedrooms and some have a pull out couch. I stayed at windsor hills condos. Look on VRBO.COM or villadirect.com. If that is too expensive I second the house rental. That is what I am doing in Nov. I think you might have trouble finding one big enough to accomidate you all at your price range. Good luck!

We,ve stayed in several homes we found on villas2go4. We have always stayed at Highland Reserve in Davenport. Love having our own huge home, kitchen, pool etc.

Have you looked at townhomes? Possibly getting two to rent next to each other? Don't know for sure, but this may be more cost effective than renting a large house.

We stayed at Windsor Palms in a gorgeous townhouse, three bedrooms and three baths. We fit my parents and ourselves (family of 4) nicely in this. But after a long week together.....we so wanted to be by ourselves....just a thought!

go with a large house - if everyone has to be together.

otherwise 2 condos would work - but condo will cost you more than a house.

here is one that is generally list on hotelkingdom

www.cypresspointe.net
www.hotelkingdom.com

this is very close to WDW. Condo can cost more because of their activities, general store, etc.
