These are all great suggestions on this thread and are very helpful to me because we are considering renting a condo or townhouse for our next trip. I would love to get more creative ideas on simple (easy to pack/transport) snacks and lunches to pack for a day in the parks and also suggestions on meals to pre-cook and freeze that can be easily heated up and served after a long day in the parks.

I made a "Monterey Spaghetti Casserole" while I was there w/ DD and 4 of her friends. We doubled the recipe, and left spinach out of one of them. Served it w/ bagged salad and French bread. They raved about it, and ate the leftovers for lunch. PM me for the recipe if anyone wants it. We also did taco night, and everyone helped.

If you are looking for economical options for dining out, here are a few that have worked for me/I will be trying soon:

1. Already mentioned, but restaurant.com. Used it at BB King's and will go back.

2. I love PeiWei - Asian Diner. For less than $8 I got pad thai that was easily 2 meals.

3. AAA/CAA discounts at Earl of Sandwich, and Citywalk restaurants such as Pastamore.

4. Like California Pizza Kitchen on facebook and get a $5 off $15 coupon

5. Like Romano's Macaroni Grill on facebook and get a $5 off coupon

6. Already mentioned many times (but there is good reason to continue mentioning it!) Giordanos. A large stuffed pizza at $20 easily feeds 4. I can never eat more than 2 slices of the stuffed pizza!

9. House of Blues happy hour!! 3-5 and 10-midnight every day. Half price appies that are large enough to make a meal of. Sit on the patio when the live entertainment is going on!

10. If staying at Bonnet Creek (or maybe an offsite hotel), check out the brochures stand in your lobby. I have found coupons as valuable as 2 for 1 Citywalk drink coupons! Oh and the best drinks are at Red Coconut Club.
