We're thinking of going to WDW with some of our friends we camp-counsel with (probably in a year or two). There would be 5 of us: my DH and me, 2 guy friends, and a gal friend. One of the guys' parents has a time share that we might be able to use, but my minimal experience with timeshares are that they max out at 2 bedrooms. DH and I would like our own room, the guys can share a room with twin beds, and the gal can have a room on her own. The condo we've stayed in at Grand Palms would work, no problem, but are there timeshare resorts with more than 2 bedrooms? The timeshare might be the cheapest option, but we don't want anyone stuck on a sofabed for a week! (On a side note, none of us are "kids"-Youngest are 27, oldest 53. We're an eclectic group of pals!)
I also came across this huge 4 bedroom condo: http://www.vrbo.com/110201 at Villas at Island Club, across the street from Grand Palms. It looks nice, and is $550 a week year round.
This would be a budget trip for us. Very budget. We thought about renting a house, but at $1000+ a week base rate, divided by 4 or 5, still is much more expensive than a condo-unless there are houses to rent that are much cheaper that I don't know about!
So, what suggestions do you have for some frugal camp counselors?
