Condo Meeting 12/8/16 @ 2 PM

I will be on property during the time of the upcoming condo meeting and thought DW and I would attend to mark it off the bucket list.

For those of you that have gone before:

1. What time should i get there ?
2. How long does it last ?
3. Are you glad you went ?
4. What else should I know ?

I expect poor attendance this year, they moved it to Disney's Coronado Springs Resort. The Board of Directors meeting is at 2:00 and takes 10 to 15 minutes. The rest of the meeting will start right after and may take a couple of hours. They have shortened the meeting and members are not allowed to speak or comment. You just sit there as they go through their script of required items. After the meeting some of the managers will mill around the lobby and you may have a chance to talk to them.

We no longer attend, the times that I asked questions after the meeting, I would get vague answers and "we will get back to you", they never did.

I say attend at least once and decide for yourself. You never know they may change things up a bit.

We went last year and I thought it a good experience. The Contemporary ballroom was packed with DVC members. I met quite a few and had a nice chat with the Member who sat next to me & my DH. Personally, I enjoyed the presentations - the actual meeting was very short and as Bill said, scripted. I don't remember being there for a "couple of hours", though. (Maybe the time just went by quickly).

After the Q & A for members, there was a member / staff coffee, lemonade & treat event in a room next door to the meeting room. Seemed to be quite a few "internet" personalities there (although we didn't meet any as we had other places to be, LOL).

I recommend attending if you are in the area. IMO, it's definitely worth doing at least once. I'd go again if we were visiting when it is scheduled.
