Condo/house near Universal?

I was searching vrbo and most of the listings do not even mention Universal. Does anyone know of any houses or condos for rent that are close to Universal /Sea World? I am looking for either 1 bdrm condos or 4 bdrm houses(depends on if we go alone or with friends) Is there a way to search only for ones within a certain distance of that area? Seems like a lot of the vrbo properties listed as Orlando are on the other side of Disney.

You may find a condo in that area, but I don't believe that there are any single family homes close to Univerasal. The county doesn't allow STR communities like Osceola and Polk counties do.

As KayR says there are no STR licences issued in the Universal area (Orange County) mostly you will find those properties in Osceola or Polk Counties (Kissimmee/Davenport areas etc). There are quite a number of timeshares and a few condo hotels on South International Drive but for a home rental you will need to look a little further away. Saying that when we were over at the end of July it only took us 20-25 mins to get to US first thing on a Monday morning (got there about 8.50am) so staying in Kissimmee isn't that far away really

Theres some condo-looking things on sandlake road, opp wyndham behind crowne plaza universal...

saying that i don't think they are infact condos - more suites but they look just like houses....

when I booked our vacation, I used Florida Sun Vac Homes. At the time they had Universal / Sea World as a location option. You might want to try calling them to see if they still have condos in that area; or could possibly make a recommendation.

Have you tried Vista Cay on Universal Blvd. We have a 3 bedroom condo booked for July and it looks superb.
