I've been reading threads about the wear and tear of different resorts. I realize they are always improving different facets of the decor at different times. However, for those of you have been there recently, will I have better luck at Beach Club or Boardwalk Villas in finding a clean, well-appointed villa? We're taking my parents and want it to be the best possible setting (in this location).

thanks!

I'd say the BCV get the most wear and tear and have the greatest occupancy, so they may look a little more worn.

I stayed at OKW last September and was completely turned off on the cleanliness of the resort. There was about a quarter inch of dust on all the baseboards in the room. There was a disgusting green pool of water outside the door to our resort the entire week. A dead squished frog remained on the steps the entire week we were there. It was the first time I stayed at this resort, and will probably be the last. While I understand the resorts are big, I had come to expect a better quality of cleanliness. If I had paid rack rates to stay there, I would have been EXTREMELY upset.

Did you call a CM and ask them to take care of it?

OKW Cm have always been quick to repond to items needing attanetion.

I personally don't look too much at room condition when I select or stay at a DVC. Unless there is something seriously wrong with the room I don't complain. I'm more interested in the amenities of the resort and its location.

pirate: We just stayed at OKW mid June and it was very clean. The room had some minor wear and tear but nothing to get upset about. The CMs were very helpful.

WE stayed last summer and had three small problems with our room. I went to the front desk and told them and by the time we returned from EPCOT they were fixed. I realize somethings are worse and require major fixes but i make it a point to inform the staff of problems. This help keep it in good condition and the next memberdoesn't have to get it fixed.

We have had enough DVC stays over the years, that I can't tell you the number of rooms we have stayed in at DVC resorts, but I can tell you that I have never seen a condition problem so bad that it effected my trip, or that couldn't be fixed by a call to mousekeeping or maintenance.

Just back from BCV with a group of 14. We stayed in 3 different rooms and all were fine. Clean, the only repair that we saw that was needed was a lock on the bathroom door that was quickly taken care of.
