This is a silly question, but I am so budget-minded, I need an answer before our trip.

Is the maple syrup served at Mara available in a pre-packaged form or is it dispensed from a pump?

I ask because I am planning on eating one breakfast there early in the week and then two breakfasts in the room later in the week. I have a grocery order set up from DVC and I really don't want to pay almost $5 for a bottle of syrup that we'll use about 1/8 of and then toss the rest. It's not the cost that bugs me, it's the fact that most of it will go into the garbage can. I figure that we can get the syrup from Mara if it is pre-packaged. There is only 4 of us and so I am only talking about 3-4 packets of syrup. That way, nothing gets wasted.

We were there the beginning of December and we ate breakfast at Mara just about every morning. My kids are obsessed with Mickey waffles and had them each day! From what I remember, as it becomes a sort of routine to eat fast then head out to the parks, the syrup is in packages. The only thing I can think of that is dispensed is ketchup.

Same here! That's why I really want to minimize our grocery order. We have 5 mornings there and 2 of them will be at Boma and 1 at Mara....for now. I plan on making breakfast in the room the other 2 days. I got a 1BR so I have to use the kitchen a little bit:laughing: . I can already see the girls not wanting pancakes, but preferring to run down to Mara for Mickey waffles. Without ordering syrup, our grocery order for the 2 breakfasts is only about $20 including the $5 delivery fee. I think DH could eat it all in one sitting if he put his mind to it so I am not too worried about the waste if we end up at Mara. Plus, DH and I could eat in the room and still let the kids have their Mickey Waffles!

Thanks for the info...you saved me $5!:wizard:

If you are worried about stealing syrup from Mara (Since you will not be eating it there) there is a web site that sells individual size of an amazing array of things. We order small amounts of the things we will need from there, and then bring them with us. I can't imagine taking something I didn't pay for from the Food Court. I know others do it, but I can't
The web site I am referring to is Minimus.biz. It is great
Have a Great Trip.
