We also enjoyed Concourse Steakhouse. It was such a nice, easy-to-be-seated place on a first night at WDW. You got the essence of WDW with the CR and the monorail without the the mania of being in WDW.
if it's good steak your looking for make ressies at shula's steakhouse. it's the best steak we have ever eaten. and if you like football you will love the resteraunt's decor.
Actually it was not taken as an expansion of Chef Mickey's, because I have been to the Contempo Cafe and it was in the exact location that the Concourse Steakhouse use to be.
You must be thinking about the Tempo Grab & Go which was the temporary counter service location that they used after the Food & Fun Center closed, plus it was also used before the Concourse Steakhouse closed and during the building of the Contempo Cafe. Finally all the tables for it were against the windows of the 4th floor that faced the pool and Bay Lake and those were the tables from the Food & Fun Center.
Our server at The Wave a couple of weeks ago had been at Concourse Steakhouse, and she said just about all the other servers had been, too. So there's a little holdover from the CS days.
I felt that The Wave was better than CS had ever been, but that's just me.
That is great to hear. We loved the Concourse Steakhouse. It was our favorite place for steak and potato which is why we are trying the Wave. Its good to hear good things about its replacement!
I was so disappointed to hear it was leaving. It was the best meal I have had on Disney property... bread salad, sooo good. Steak and that steak butter.... SOOOO good. I wish I could eat there again
