DH is a steaklover, and we'd like to try somewhere new. Can't decide between the Concourse and the Maya Grill. Any suggestions/reviews would be very welcome. TIA! :wave2:

Well, we ate at both last August, and the food was great at both. I had the filet at Concourse, and it was really good. I had the combo at Maya, which was Mahi Mahi (fish of the day), filet mignon, and ribs. Oh, so much food, and so good. We are going back this August to both. You can't go wrong with either restaurant!!

Hmmm..not much help was I???

We stayed at the contemporary a few years back, and when we walked past the Concourse Steakhouse, it smelled like stale smoke from the bar there. Is it still that way?

We ate at the Concourse last year and it was my DH's favortite meal of the trip. We were going to go back again this year but I decided that we should try Le Cellier. We have to go back to all my DD's favorite character meals so I thought that we should at least try different non-character TS.

We've had some good steaks at Concourse Steakhouse (and it didn't smell like smoke), but we've had some great breakfasts there, too. They have wonderful Eggs Benedict that is served with steamed asparagras (you get your daily veggies at breakfast!!) and a very good stuffed french toast. Not to forget the Sticky Mickey's (cinnamon rolls) and big Mickey waffle.

We liked the Maya Grill better for breakfast than for dinner.

The Mayan Grill is more romantic like. I have stayed at CSR but have not dined at the Grill. It is way too expensive and when I went by it,it was kinda dark and gloomy.(It could have been just it was always so bright outside compared to the inside of the restaurant).Of course, this is just my impression just quickly ducking my head in. I have dined at Concourse and YUM! You really should go.The service was quick and efficient(although, service can be a dicey chance). The food was so wonderful. We had the most tender steaks and Prime Rib. The seafood bisque was divine and everytime our drink glasses became empty the waitress was there to fill them up. Concourse was so good we decided to eat there a second time later in the vacation.

We're doing both in Sept. I've eaten at Concourse 2 times in May... it was very good. The only thing I wouldn't get the ribs. Hubby did and didn't like them and then felt sick. But the rolls and steaks are awesome!

I haven't been to Maya Grill yet~ hoping it's GREAT too!

I've never eaten at the Maya but back in 2000 I had THE WORST Disney dining experience I've ever had. And I've been going to WDW since 1971 (ok, ok, I was 2 yrs old at the time!). Long story short, we had the rudest, most pretentious waiter I have ever encountered in my life. Absolutely ruined the entire dining experience. So much so that I honestly don't recall how the food was. Granted, he was not trained by Disney to be this way, so it may have been just poor luck. This, of course, is not an indictment of the current Concourse wait staff.

We just ate there one week ago today, and had the ribs. He LOVED them! I've never heard him rave so much about a meal before. I had the filet and the creme brulee, both excellent.

Thanks for the info, everyone, it seems like we'll have to try one of them this Fall and the other next summer!
