After Skydiving on my last morning, we want to eat a good final breakfast. Chef Mickey's is booked, and I don't want to go too far from the Contemporary. Is it worth making an ADR for the Concourse Steakhouse for breakfast? Has anyone done this? Thanks!

I like the Concourse Steakhouse for breakfast. The food is goo, typical, but good. I think the grits (I'm a Georgia boy) are the best on property.

You can also hop on the monorail and head over to Kona Cafe at the Poly. Macadamia nut pancakes and tonga toast could hit the spot!

OH!!! I made a special trip to Concourse Steak House for breakfast last week just so I could have a Sticky Mickey!!! :woohoo: They've changed it a bit since I was there last but it was still good! :cloud9: My kids ordered regular breakfasts but I just had the Sticky Mickey! ($2.99)
The waitress told us they are going to change the recipe again soon. :sad2: I guess it will be more of a pull apart bread instead of a big thing you have to cut. :confused3 As long as it has that delicious sweet syrup (not glaze or frosting) in the bottom, it'll be good.
I think I'm the only person on these boards that just LOVES  the Sticky Mickey's. (and you can only get them at CSH)

Concourse is one of our favorite places to have breakfast! We usually eat breakfast there a couple of times per vacation. My husband loves the Sticky Mickey. In fact, we will be having breakfast there 2 weeks from tomorrow!

i have a breakfast ADR in september. has anyone had this on the dining plan and know what is included, the menus show starters and entree's?? thanks

For all you Sticky Mickey fans out there........

The white glaze is gone and replaced with a cinnamon glaze on top. The bottom of the "pot" still have that wonderful "syrup" though...

When I had my first SM, the glaze on top was more of a clear glaze and it came with a little pitcher of the "syrup" that you could pour on....

Our waitress told us that they are yet again changing the SM....it will now be more of a pull apart bread. Same ingredients, just put together differently.

Here is the SM I had last week. (8/8)

If you have children in your party, they may like the Hot Chocolate. It may been too hot outside for Hot Chocolate, but dd7 order it last week and here is what it looked like...

I love the Eggs Benedict at Concourse. My main reason to eat there. Served with steamed asparagus.

We ate there once and it was the worst food I ever had. The fruit was so unripened and hard, no flavor. The bacon was way overcooked and salty, the eggs overcooked and the potatoes burnt and hard. Totally disgusting food and the restaurant was empty, CM was slamming so I told the waitress to go over there and get me fresh food since her restaurant could not handle that. She said that she could not do that (yeah right, you know they share the same kitchen) but she could bring us something else. We just walked out.

How can you screw up breakfast??

When I read this, I was sure you were talking about Kona Cafe. Never had such bad food as I ate there (dinner AND breakfast), except maybe Rainforest Cafe and Big River Grille.

We always eat breakfast at Concourse and it's always been good for us.

Shouldn't reply because you're a METS fan, but, we love Concourse for b'fast. The restaurant will be closing spring of '08, give it a try. I also love the eggs benedict.

Everybody has had a bad meal or 2 somewhere, I know I've had mine.

Don't let 1 bad review in a thread sway you from trying a restaurant. If bad reviews become a pattern then "watch out".

Does anyone know if the concourse steakhouse breakfast is counted as a CS meal, and are you able to order and take it back to your room?

We will be staying at the CR in Jan and I am looking at places for a quick breakfast, is there anywhere else for breakfast besides Chef Mickeys?

Thanks for your help:flower3:

If you are looking for a CS hot breakfast, you may be out of luck, as they are only going to have a grab and go for quick service at CR while the first floor is being remodeled. You can either go to Chef Mickey's or Concourse for breakfast, or take the monorail around to Poly or GF and get a quick hot breakfast there.

If you want breakfast in the room, there's always room service!
