Concourse Steak house, say it isn't so??

I was just looking at menus and noticed that the kids painters pallet for cookies desert is missing from the Concourse Steak house menu, this was a HUGE hit with my kids last year - anyone know if it is still available?

We ate there in Feb and didn't see any of the kids with it. Most of the kids seem to be ordering build a sundae.

We have an ADR for July 22nd. I hope it doesn't close before then.

It's rumored to be closing sometime in October.

We just made ADR's for Thanksgiving there and there was no mention of it closing. That makes me a bit nervous! They'd tell us when we made the reservation if it was though, right?

Oh, no! My nephew (4) was just talking to me about when he painted a cookie last week!

Here is the schedule of renovations for the Contemporary, which says when the closing of the Concourse Steakhouse will take place.

August 2007 - Newly renovated Fantasia Shop will re-open.

June 11, 2007 through November 2007 - The Lobby will undergo partitioned refurbishments to update the area's image and decor.

July 2007 through October 2007 - The resort's grounds will undergo partitioned refurbishments to install new landscaping and re-route existing guests paths.

July 30, 2007 through April 2008 - The Food & Fun Center will be closed for major renovations. The location will re-open as a new table service option, "The Wave". During this time a temporary counter service location will be operating on the Grand Concourse level near the Outer Rim Lounge.

April 2008 through August 14, 2008 -The Concourse Steak house will be closed for major renovations. The location will re-open as the new Counter Service location for the resort. During this time a temporary counter service location will be operating on the Grand Concourse level near the Outer Rim Lounge.

Yes the cookie is still available. I was actually able to get an ADR for Concourse on our last night (after 2 weeks of calling) at 5:10 for our 10 year anniversary dinner. I did ask the CM if the cookie was available & it was. My dd LOVED it last year - and it also kept her busy & quiet!

We were there the last week of January and it was not on the menu and was told "it is no longer available" by our waiter who went to ask in the kitchen
