Hello,
Trying to decide the best place to take my husband for Father's Day dinner. He had chosen Concourse Steak house (he wants a good steak), we won't be in parks that night so LeCellier is out (I know many will recommend that if I don't say it first).
After looking at the pic's tonight of Grand Floridian cafe dinner on the food pic's thread (LOVE that thread) I went and looked at their menu and am impressed and am thinking of trying it. Looks like they have a 12 ounce steak versus the 10 oz. largest steak at Concourse. The chocolate foundo desert looks incredible too, it says serves 2, anyone know if they limit this to one per two people on the dining plan or can we each have one. Any oppinions/help??

We ate at the Concourse last September and it was very good. I had the filet mignon and mashed potatoes. They had a seafood bisque that I had for an appetizer but I don't think they have it now and it was so good. I would go there again. I have never tried the Grand Floridian cafe so no comment for that. But I would say that if the dessert says it serves 2 then they might let you get one to share for both of your desserts. We had the dessert sampler at the Yachtsman and they let us have that for both of our dessert credits and we shared.

We eaten at both and they are very good. You may want to decide on the atmosphere. For us, the Concourse is in the "middle" of things and the GFC is a little more private (especially if you ask for table by a window in the back).

My vote is for the concourse steakhouse.

Thanks everyone. I guess I should add that we will have a 5 year old and 2 1/2 year old with us. With the comment on the Grand Floridian about atmosphere it makes me wonder if it's too fancy for us with our little ones??
