Which would you choose for dinner -- Concourse Steakhouse or Kona Cafe'?

(It will be myself, DH, DS9, DS11 and my in laws.)

TIA.

Kona!

I haven't eaten at the Concourse for years. But the Kona is a "must do" on every trip.

Same here - I haven't tried Concourse although I want to, but I ate at Kona last week and it will be a must do from now on. I had crab cakes, the filet mignon medallions and the macadamia nut tart ( like pecan pie but better!). Outstanding! It was quiet but also kid friendly. DD loved her pasta with meatball and DS liked his grilled cheese. Both loved their kiddie cone desserts too.

I think the atmosphere at Kona beats Concourse from what I've seen.

Definately Kona! :sunny:

We haven't eaten at Concourse Steak House since 2002. I didn't think the food was all that great and the service was worse than the food. But, that was 3 years ago, things might have changed? :confused3

I say the Kona because the atomosphere, food and service are all good.

I vote for Kona Cafe'. Concourse had good food, but the service was not great.

KONA! The bread basket alone is worth the trip. Add in dessert, and even if the entrees were terrible I'd still go. We always have our final meal here, on our last night on vacation. Then we go outside and watch the EWP. We've never been disappointed!

We have not eaten at Kona. During our trip Christmas 04 we ate at Concourse for our first night meal. My husband daughter 18, son 15 and I. We all loved it. The service was excellent and the food was great. We had a wonderful time and all agreed this would be a new tradition for our first night meal.

Most definitely Kona Cafe!!! Better atmoshere, great food and desserts, not to mention awesome coffee... and great service!

I really dig the Kona Cafe...but Concourse is top of the line food....a really nice experience...we go every trip, and I went often when I worked at the MK as well.

We're gonna try both on our upcoming April trip. Haven't been to Kona in years, never been to Concourse.

I'm really surprised that almost everyone picked Kona. The Concourse looked fun because of the monorail. What's the atmosphere like at Kona?

I've been to Kona once it was nice but maybe because we were on a really tight budget and only got appetizers it didn't stand out in my mind as that exciting. Now several years later we've moved up and life and can actually afford to do a sit down dinner every night so we may have to try Kona again with entree included. :) However, I really do want to try the Concourse also. My son would have a fit if we went there for dinner while Chef Mickey and friends were right next door, so I'm thinking of either doing it for lunch or our "alone" night out next trip. I think the atmosphere with the monorail going by would be great - but not have quite the noise of sitting right at Chef Mickey's. If you can swing it - try both!

Kona!!! Kona is a must for us several times every trip. We haven't tried breakfast but have loved every single thing we have gotten for lunch and dinner and we have been there many times.

Concourse we tried for breakfast on our last trip. We won't be back! Did not enjoy the food or service at all.

we like them both actually but I would choose Concourse for dinner. I thnk the food is a tad better. I like them both for breakfast too, but I would say Kona wins for breakfast. Last summer we ate at Concourse about 3 times. They had this terrific peach summer salad and a wonderful prime rib entree.

We usually hit Concours at least once for dinner when we stay at the CR. Great steaks!

definitely Kona has the better food, but we always ate at
Concourse when the kids were small because they were well
entertained by the monorail going thru the building, and we
were able to eat a nice dinner without fuss. But, now, we
choose our restaurants for the quality of food - Kona it is.

We also enjoy them both, and have PS at both for our April visit. But if I had to choose just one, probably the Kona.

In our experience, though, the food and service are excellent at both places--it's one of those "can't lose" decisions!
