I'd been looking at Cat 3 staterooms, and it's nice to find out that they maybe do have king beds.
DH is allergic to smoke though, do you usually run into verandah smokers on the cruises?

Maybe I should find out if they have non-smoking staterooms grouped together on the ship.

I really am looking forward to your trip report though, you did an amazing job with it!!

All of the staterooms are non-smoking inside, and all of them allow smoking on the verandah's.

Our neighbor in the Roy suite smoked. He was extremely courteous, and would stand on the far end of his verandah from us (we were downwind from him), and I never smelled it. 8030 (the Roy Suite) has a 4x wide verandah, and 8032 (the suite we were in) had a 3x wide verandah--so there were in effect 7 "normal" verandah's between us.

Hello,
We have the Concierge service and I wanted to book Palo ahead, is it possible to find out the Dinning Rotation ahead of time so that I may eliminate a particular Restaurant?

We sailed with my inlaws on the last cruise in a cat 3 and a cat 4 .
Like anything else there is good and bad, fact and myth.........
Yes we did get to make our ressies early for Palo (we actually got 2 dinner and 2 brunch ressies), got the rotation and seating we wanted. There was no early boarding for us.. that must be new or not offered all the time?
Yes the room was big and the real bath tub was great for our girls (8 & 2) as was the VCR and movies.
No the staff did not do us any favors as they took, made and then mistakenly cancelled every last one of our reservations! We found out later that evening when we got to our room and let the staff know. Some ressies were fixed, some were lost forever!
Some days the goodies came to our room, some days they did not...... We had a better steward on our previous cat 6 sailing..... The space in the room was unlimited... DH and I joked that it was bigger than our first apartment! We were able to order from any menu, but it sometimes took up to 45 mins to deliver........ Get the appetizer plates --- great to snack on while you dress! As for perk gifts.. we got a bag for being castaway members, but no cards, or books for the kids, etc...
I agree with a previous post.... Don't just get the room for the concierge service (the service will change as staff and policies change)...... if you need/want the room and can afford the cost either budget or "Tightwad" wise go for it!
Mostly, just go and enjoy!!!
