My sister and I are looking at a cat v for a four night cruise on the dream. The cruise isn't until 2017. Right now there is nothing available in this category. Do they offer a Waitlist? If so how does this work?

They don't. You have to look online every day and then pounce on it when you see it. Or if you have a TA, you can have them check regularly but I would still check yourself.

Really? This must have changed recently. I've waitlisted for concierge suites a number of times by Cat. and/or room number. I still suggest you check regularly yourself because I have had DCL call me when a certain suite opened up but I also have seen one open up online and had to call them to grab it.

Unless there's been a very recent change, you can WL concierge. We sailed the Wonder 7 night in January and when I first booked, I didn't book CL because I had an OBB. About a month later I decided that I wanted CL and it was sold out. I called DCL and got on a WL. Unfortunately, it never came through.

The cruise I wanted there were no cabins in concierge. I was not booked and did not want to sail if not concierge. I called DCL and was told that they didn't maintain a waitlist for concierge but I could keep checking back or ask a travel agent to do so. I called a TA and was told the same. Eventually something opened it and I booked it but wasn't happy with the cabin and wanted to switch if possible. I once again called DCL and asked if I could now waitlist for a switch if someone cancelled and was told again no wait list but keep checking. Moved it to a TA and she said all that could be done was that she would check each morning for any cancellations. I tried shoreside concierge and they told me the same as well. So, if there's a wait list, I could never find anyone to put me on one. This was for a March 2016 sailing.

Hmmm...we've wait listed for concierge in the past too.

If in doubt I call back and talk to another CM. Hopefully they have more/different information

That's so odd. On another sailing my husband and I, and some friends decided to go on the Dream. We all booked CL. At a later date, my sister decided to join us and CL was sold out. They put her on a WL and I know they actually did because a room opened up and they called her.
