Concierge service??

I wish i had a great team for my concierge. I am not a difficult person to please at all but these two were terrible. Anything we requested was a huge problem and they never got back to us for anything. I hope this cruise we have a different team. Fingers crossed.

This is my number 1 pet peeve with DCL concierge services, there is no consistency. It should not be the luck of the draw, all suite guest should receive "excellent" service. It pretty much sucks when you pay a premium and you are getting better service from your dining serving team and room steward than you are from the concierge staff.:sad2: That was our experience on the Wonder in 2006!

But I do have to add that we had a great concierge team on the Magic in Dec. 2007. So hopefully, that means things are improving.

Agree you would expect the best consistent service.

I notice my reservation on Dreams now includes more information and contact on the new Conciegre service.

Yes, I've just emailed them with a couple of questions/requests for upcoming cruises so will see how efficient this service is... :goodvibes

Just let me know, I noticed the contact has dropped off my DREAMS reservation again but its not till 2009 for my Cat 3.

Hope it goes well.

My observation from reading these posts is most of the positive comments are from the Magic cruise and most of the less than stellar comments are from the Wonder cruise. Hmmm. Is it the length that makes the difference? I hope to experience the positive side on my upcoming Wonder cruise. :goodvibes

Interesting observation, let us know.

We were on the Wonder for the 11 night Southern Caribbean in '06 and I can't remember who the concierge staff were, but I thought they did an excellent job. Sadly, it just might depend on the team that you get, but we've never had any complaints with the teams we've had.

We just got home from a 4 night on the Wonder and the Concierge team was very good. The Concierge was Jerome, from Jamaica, and the other two members of his team were Kristopher and Tawanda. Tawanda had only been part of the team for a couple of weeks and he was excellent! We also made two requests of the land-based Concierge, prior to the cruise (dining rotation and table size), and they were both honored.

Thank you for the update, hope you had a fabulous cruise and post some pictures please.

Having experienced both ships at the concierge level, speaking for our family, the length of time onboard wasn't the issue; it was the level of personal service.

As I said in a previous post, we only ever saw our concierge team on the Wonder when we met them at the meet and greet when we boarded. Our team on the Magic came to find us daily and made our stay that much more enjoyable.

Speaking about the length of the stay, I must admit that the longer the Disney cruise, the happier I am!;)

I wish you a 'Wonder'ful experience on your cruise!:flower3:

Where on the DU reservation is the Concierge info??? I just looked up my ressie and I see no info regarding Concierge. Any info would help. Thanks! :)

I have not used DU, so I have no idea where it would be on the ressie. However, here is the contact info for the land-based Concierge:

The phone number is 1-866-784-1654 and you can email them at dcl.concierge.services@disneycruise.com.

I have only used email, and they responded within 24 hours.

Does anyone have any recent updates on the service? Is it good? how do they look after you? Any changes?

on our Nov 1st Magic cruise this year. We didn't get to partake in any pre cruise perks, since we upgraded to cat 3 at the terminal, but once we did it was fabulous. They took care of us and our friends that were traveling us who were still in cat 4. We also got arcade cards that didn't work, we thought it was us. We had Nicole, Andreia and Erika. They were wonderful, although it was Andreia's first week since she was training to replace Nicole who was going on shore leave.

We had such a good experience we rebooked a cat 3 on the 8/18/10 med sailing. We didn't know all the other perks and am glad for the info on this board.

Nice upgrade, sorry the cards didnt work, but you look like you enjoyed it as you rebooked for 2010, the med will be great nad it will give you a chance to book the VIP specailst DCL trips quickly, they sold out at 90 days for our cruise in 07.

If you take a very close look a the photo on my profile, you will be able to make Jonathan out. I used to work with him at EPCOT, and he was as amazing then as he is now. He currently is the groups manager onboard the Magic, and takes care of all onboard weddings. Glad to hear people liked his concierge service!:)
