For my oldest's graduation trip we are taking a trip to Disney World:cool1: .

I promised her that for at least a couple of nights we would concierge it.

So tell me the good, the bad and the ugly of concierges in the World...

except Contemporary...she says the Contemporary looks too "odd" I think her words were:rotfl:

Thanks in advance!!

We have done GF, CR and Poly and our hands down fav is Poly. The CM's are fantastic and make sure your happy. The lounge is great...has a fabulous view of the MK. They have wonderful snacks and offerings food/ bev wise. Rooms in this building are very good. They just go above and beyond IMO and have done so quite a few times for us. Congrats on the graduation! :)

Do Poly rooms have "room"....you know...2 teenage girls with their parents. We survived at POP but I would love more space!!

Most deffinately!! We are a family of 5....dd's ages 19, 17 and 12! More then enough space....luggage and all!!

My family and I have done Club Level at the Contemporary and Polynesian. Our favorite was the Contemporary however since your daugther does not like the Contemporary here are the pluses to trying it at the Polynesian. Your guaranteed a room in the Hawaii Longhouse so no requesting a specific one, the lounge is very big with a lot of tables, your within walking distance of the volcano pool, the foods they offer at threw out the day taste great and even if you book a Garden View room, you can still see the Magic Kingdom from the Club Level lounge on the 2nd floor.

so two votes for the Poly:thumbsup2

Anybody else?? How about AK??

I can't speak to any of the others, but put me down as another big vote for the Poly. We have stayed concierge there twice, and my husband refuses to go to WDW and stay anywhere else. Are you familiar with tikiman? He has a super website about the Poly. PM me if you can't find it. It has tons of info on concierge there.

Have fun!

Leslie

We've stayed AK and Poly and loved the service at both. Every trip the cm's have gone above and beyond to make our stay magical. The food at both is equally tasty! We are trying the Beach Club this year, hope we have the same experience!!!

Congratulations on the Graduation and I'm sure that no matter where you choose to stay, you will have a wonderful time. Afterall, you will be at Disney!

We have stayed at the GF concierge and enjoyed it. I think there would be better choices for teens. We are staying at AK concierge next month and have heard great things about the concierge there. I once saw a Travel Channel show about AK concerige and thought it looked like it would be worth trying it.

We have done AKL CL, BC CL, BWI CL, CR CL, POLY CL, YC CL, and WL CL. I teach high school students and I would say either BC, YC, BWI, or POLY would be right up their alley. :thumbsup2

BC and YC have stormalong bay and the best IPO pre-planning of any Deluxe! That is a biggie for high schoolers...we took DD there last year for graduation; (YC CL) she LOVED it! They did lots of surprise graduation shopping and decorating for me too!

BWI is great...the lounge and cast members there are awesome...definitely the best on property IMHO! They arranged several surprises for DH's 40th B-Day. He's working with them for my 40th celebration this fall! A BW view room would be awesome for your DD. They have the same wonderful IPO as BC & YC! The BW area is just fun.

My 5yo DD loves POLY as I do...since I started staying there in 1972! There IPO worked wonders for a M-DD trip 3 years ago at Christmas!

I hope this has helped and if you need anything else, just ask! Good luck planning!;)

I have done all of them and the AKL has the best IPO tied with the GF to me.
THe gf and poly offer the most food selections. YC has the most limited selection. I did YC this past xmas and GF last july and it was crazy how limited the food was at the YC. The GF and the BWI have the best onsite staffs to me. The team at the BWI is excellent.
I would stay over at the Epcot area as theres lots to do over there. BWI and BC over YC

Good Luck

Poly in front by a mile followed by either CR or BWI. We've also tried BC which was very disappointing, then YC where the food was limited and GF RPC where the offerings are the nicest but we had issues with housekeeping ($700 per night and the room not cleaned by 4pm on several days), recreation staff ( double booked my DD's surprise birthday Cabana) and private dining ( was 30 minutes late with snacks for a Grand 1 Wishes Cruise).

My vote would have to go to the BWI Club Level. They too go far and above the call of duty to make all their guests feel very special.:lmao: The food offerings are exceptional. The hot appetizers come from EPSN, Flying Fish, and Spoodles. The deserts come from the BWI Bakery. There is nightly entertainment going on the BWI itself. The rooms are very spacious. You have quick access to Epcot and DHS via boat or by walking. In the Lounge you can enjoy watching Illuminations from their balcony. This is enjoyable especially if it is raining.;)

We have done concierge at BC, WL and AKL(3 X)

We loved AKL the best, the lounge is beautiful and the food offerings really good.

The best itinerary planner was from BC though, she was fabulous and was able to book Breathless for us and helped with a few surprises I arranged. She also sent some little presents to my DD it was a great stay.

WL was not as nice as the others but it was before they renovated the lounge area so I am sure it is better now.

You all rock!!:thumbsup2

I will show these to Cassidy and let her decide. I haven't been on Tikiman's site in forever so I'll head over there too.

Off to plan...which of course is half the fun:goodvibes

No matter where you stay, you might want to consider doing the safari that is available only to concierge guests. You get to go on a small bus with padded seats and a zoologist for the park narrates the tour. It was very interesting and well worth it.

Isn't that the only for Animal Kingdom Lodge Club Level guests, or is there a 2nd one which is available to all Club Level guests at each Deluxe Resort?

that's why we are looking mainly at AK concierge...we would love to do the safari. :goodvibes

There is also a safari for CL guests called Wildlife Discovery Excursion. We just booked this tour for our trip next month. We will be staying CL at the BWI. The cost is $45.00 and is about 1 hour long. It does not include Breakfast like the Safari for AKL guests.

We have stayed CL at AKL at least 5 times, a few times at GF, once at Poly and twice at BWI. They have all been wonderful trips. Your girls might really enjoy being able to walk over to World Showcase from BWI as well as around the Boardwalk, so that would a great choice, plus the BWI lounge is very pretty.
On the other hand, AKL is SUCH a special place. I have not stayed there since last May and am not sure about the current location of the concierge lounge but in the "old days" (2003-2007) ;) it was my favorite resort and my favorite place to be :cloud9:
My DD (11) is in love with the GF and we stayed in a turret room in the Main Bldg. last summer and had quite a decadent experience. The food offerings were great and hearing the orchestra playing in the lobby while we were getting ready for dinner in our room in the evenings was delightful! Being at the GF is always fun for girls!! princess: princess:
I'm currently in love with the Poly and we are staying Lagoon View Concierge there this summer :cheer2: We have stayed on the club level there once before, in a garden view room and the food was yummy and the views from that lounge are to die for!
You can't go wrong with AKL, GF, POly or BWI CL is what I am trying to say! ;)
Have fun planning~
