One of my friends and I are taking a cruise next year. It is my first time on a DCL (or any cruise but my friend has done two DCL cruises). We are hoping to book a Concierge room on the Fantasy. I have seen pictures of the way the sofa bed blocks the desk. Do the stewards/room attendants fold the bed and unfold it each night? I am not sure if I would want to have the desk blocked for the entire time, but if it's only at night that's fine. I do not think I would be happy in the ladder bed.

When I go to the gym in normal life, I wear regular clothes, change into workout clothes in the locker room, workout, shower in the locker room, then change back into my regular clothes. How does it work on the cruise? Do people go to the fitness center in workout clothes or change there? Do you people bring clothes to change into after the workout?

I am sure I will be posting a million questions here between now and the cruise, but that's it for now. Thanks to anyone who can help.

They put the bed back to a sofa unless you say not to. They come in your room morning to make beds and at night to change out towels and turn the beds down with a towel animal and a chocolate for each of you.

The fitness centre its up to you but they do have change rooms with lockers to use as well as showers. This change room is also used by the spa for people to put robes on. Some people prefer the bigger showers there and just use them .

Wear your workout clothes to the gym. If you prefer the large showers, use them. Otherwise, I think most people prefer to change in the privacy of their cabin.

Your cabin is transformed for bedtime while you go to dinner and a show. Towel animals and chocolates magically invade your room. You return to calm lighting. It is magical.

Room stewards are known to wrap up phone cords, adding a little Velcro holder; folding your clothes… as well as making your bed and sofa daytime suitable. Twice a day service, still. Even the least expensive cabin,

I've always just walked the decks/stairs, go to the gym then back to our cabin for a longggggg hotttttttt shower.

p.s. -- First time on another cruise line when I opened the bathroom door after a hot/steamy shower the steam set off the fire alarm. Had a Crew Member show up and then a Ship Engineer who radioed the Bridge saying everything was OK to turn off the alarm. Longest NOISY few minutes in my life.

We have always gone down in gym clothes with our day clothes in a bag, stored them in a locker and then showered and changed there. The showers are much larger and they tend not to be busy so it just seemed more efficient for us to do that than to go back to the room and wait for one person to finish showering.

Your cabin steward will fold up the bed back into a couch each morning unless you specifically ask them not to. We always head to gym in our workout clothes with a small bag with a change of clothes for after. Shower right there at the spa-showers are nice and big and no waiting for my husband to finish or for me to finish. Then straight off for coffee!

If you're in Concierge on the Fantasy, you'll either be on deck 11 or 12 and the gym is on deck 11 so it's not a long walk at all if you want to change in your room. If, however, you're not in a suite, pp have it correct and the showers are larger in the gym. Either way, hope you enjoy your first cruise!

When we hit the fitness center on board, we typically go in our workout clothes and then head back to our cabin to shower and change into other clothes.
