Hi there,

I booked one night at DLH and am now considering upgrading to concierge. We're on a tight budget (but have plenty of DVC points) and am thinking of getting concierge. Have you stayed / know someone who stayed in a concierge floor?

TIA!

I have stayed at DLH in concierge using DVC points. It was nice, but I don't think it made a huge difference in our stay. The one really great thing was being able to watch the fireworks from the lounge and having the music piped in. That was a nice touch.

Hi,
My family and I stayed at DLH concierge level last June and it was great.
The lounge to go take a break at if you don't want to go back to the room, and refreshments and snacks are included. We also had them make special arrangements for our anniversary. We will be staying at GCH this May-June on the concierge level again because we liked it so much.

We did DLH concierge in November, 2007. Loved it! Liked being able to take snacks/drinks from the lounge for our backpacks in the parks. We didn't have to "sneak" the stuff out. They encourage it! We also liked going for a swim at bed time, then getting a hot chocolate and a cookie from the lounge for a bed time snack. It's nice to have a continental breakfast in the morning too. No arguing about where to have breakfast, when all we want to do is get food in our bellies and head to the parks!!

Now that we've been spoiled by having the lounge, it will be hard to book a regular room next time.

Enjoy!

I noticed that you wrote that you only have 1 night booked at DLH. Does that mean you will only have 1 or 2 days in the park? Will you be at your hotel long enough or often enough in the couple of days to make it worth your while?

We've stayed concierge at both PPH and DLH and had a great time. We're the type of family to head back to hotel pool in the afternoon for a swim so it was wonderful being able to grab snacks and drinks in the lounge. We got a great AP rate, but I doubt we'd pay rack rate for it.
