Concierge perks at AKV concierge level

Hi, I'm sure this has been covered before but what exactly do you get in the concierge level? Is there any wine, etc or just snack food and drink?

They have the beer & wine out from 5-7, and cordials (bailey's, kahlua, etc) from 8-10. You do get daily housekeeping, daily turndown service, and you get to avoid checking in downstairs in the main lobby. A few appetizers from Boma or Jiko are provided from 5-7, and some desserts from 8-10. There is other stuff during the day, but it's not that impressive....just a snack (gummy bears, goldfish crackers for example). Breakfast is your typical continental.

Yes, they had cut up fruit (melons, strawberries, etc) during breakfast. Plus I believe that there was a fruit bowl with whole fruit.

Also on the wine question: even if it is not during the wine & hors d'oeurve's time, you can request a class of the wine or a bottle of beer.

You can bring it back to your room, yes.

I tipped at the end of my stay. I told the concierge to distribute it to the entire concierge staff. What you do about it is up to you.

We had two hot cereals at breakfast and a different hot soup at the evening offerings. It was nice food. We actually ate there one day for the whole day. We ate there the rest of the days off and on. It was really nice. We did not purchase the DDP this trip, the Concierge was our breakfast, then filled in with the rest. Just bought one meal a day.

They have lemonade, a africian smoothie, ice tea, water all day. Different coffee's, hot tea. The deserts were very good, I would take a plate back to the room every night, sometimes this was my breakfast the next morning.

Where do you check in? We have a trip booked AKV concierge and would love to avoid the main lobby check-in.

You go to the luggage check station inside the lobby to the left. They will take you up the eleavtor to check in upstairs on the 6th floor. Only down side is that you do not get a Goofy Picture welcome home package. You get a regular concierge package wiht a member discount book.

AK concierge is a lot better than the concierge at the CT IMHO.
