Hi! I am new to the DCL forum, so I am sorry if this has been asked and answered already. I read that the deposits for concierge bookings are non-refundable, but what is the policy of adding, removing or changing a name for passengers? Since the cruise we would book is not until 2023, a lot can happen in the course of a year or more. So, I am a little scared of booking.

I think if you add a person and they cannot go the deposit is lost. I think that would be the same for a name change since they were technically not on the original reservation since the deposit amount follows the castaway member. The only way you can technically keep the deposit would be to change the itinerary so its not fully lost.

Name changes are allowed without a loss of deposit. I have done this. However, you can't change the lead name in a room. So, if you are getting more than one room, reserve each room under the name of someone who is sure to go. I recently did this for a cruise with my sisters. My wife and I each have one room with my sisters as the second guest in each room. My sisters were not able to make it, so we switched them for two good friends. No deposit penalty.

Name changes are allowed, but not for the primary guest.

I have asked about adding a person in the past. My TA told me it can generally be done but is subject to restrictions based on lifeboat capacity so it's not guaranteed to be possible.
