I love concierge, but I don't think you can compare it to the silver plan. For instance, you might pay the same amount for both, but what do you get for your money?
In concierge:
**You get a pre-planner to assist with priority seating, recreation, etc.
**The food offerings that are in the lounges are definitely not a meal replacement. Other than breakfast, they can best be described as snacks and appetizers.
**Private check-in is available at most Disney concierge resorts
**Park purchases delivered to your resort room instead of having to pick them up in the gift shop
**On duty concierge staff to make any last minute arrangements
These are just to name a few, but as you can probably tell, concierge is really just a higher level of service.
For the Silver Plan, you are actually receiving something tangible for your money. Either in the form of a full meal each day, recreation and preferred parade and fireworks viewing.
Now if you were planning on spending a majority of your time at the resort and really don't require a package, then concierge may be the way to go. If you would like to plan a nice meal each day, along with a round of golf, a backstage tour, tickets to Cirque, a spa treatment, dinner show, etc. then the Silver Plan would pay for itself.
