Has anyone been concierge since the Magic rehab? Any changes made?
I sailed in concierge level on the 10/25 sailing. It was my first time on the Magic, so I don't know about changes, but it was similar to my concierge experience on the Wonder. There were two concierges (Danny and Angeline - I think that was her name, she never introduced herself), no lounge, a boarding reception and a concierge reception on the second day with a special character greeting.
I am interested also. We will be in Roy Suite in Dec.
Was there much interaction with concierge hosts, given that one did not introduce herself?
We were in the Walt and had much more interaction with our concierge than he wanted, I'm sure. We had no hot water and no electricity; dirty toilets; a missing tub stop; the room was set up incorrectly; there was a missing tv and an unconnected tv, among other petty annoyances. We had to spend a good part of the first day in the room waiting for maintenance people to take care of the issues. The hot water didn't come on until the next morning after I mentioned it to the plumber in the Rainforest Room, who had been called because there was no hot water there. The spa CM tried to persuade me that the water was supposed to be cold, but when I showed her that the tap came off in my hand, she had to call the plumber. Lo and behold, he fixes the taps so that they could dispense hot water. When we got back to our room, we had hot water again. I'm pretty sure it was the plumber who fixed it for us.
ETA - the electrician came to check out the electricity problem, told us he'd be right back, drew the bolt and closed the door so he and anyone else wandering down the hall could get into our room. We weren't going to leave the door like that, obviously. After a half hour, we called the concierge, explained the situation and he came up to wait for the electrician in our place. It was a major security violation that shouldn't have happened.
Oh, and our wave phones didn't work properly and neither did his. Calls kept dropping before being completed. If we called him, he had to go to a "landline" to call us back.

Wow!!!! This sounds like a nightmare. Are you getting any money back on this cruise or any type of compensation. I would be fuming!!!!!![]()

If you hear back from disney, let us know. The Walt suite is very pricey and those issues should have been fixed before.

We were in a concierge room for the October 25th sailing on the Magic. Do not believe any publicity that the rooms are refreshed and refurbished because it is simply not true, at least the 3 rooms we had were not. We got to our cabin and our keys were not working. Once we got inside we realized that we did not have any air conditioning and our sink did not have any water, we had wires hanging from the ceiling. Our wave phones were not working properly so you could not call the concierge for help. You had to sit on hold for up to an hour to try and get the basic necessities. Our safe was broken with our items inside and luckily one of us was in the room when he arrived hours later to fix it because he came alone. A huge security issue when our wallets and jewelry were in the safe that took him an hour and a half to fix and had to drill through to open it. Our friend's room did not have a working toilet, had mold all around, had bugs in it, I could go on and on. Basically, our one full day trip was spent on hold and waiting for people to fix our cabin. I wish I knew how to post photos on this because I could show you how horrible our friend's bathroom really was. DCL has truly lost it's Magic!
I think the concierge rooms should have been the first ones completed. I would have felt that way even if I hadn't been in the Walt, but the Roy and the Walt should definitely have been show-ready ahead of any other cabins.
