OK, I know this is a poor value for points! I just want to make sure that the 83 points required at the AKL is the total for the room with all it's occupants. Is that correct?

yes, that is correct. 83 points for a fri or sat night during value season at akl .

If you have an AP the discount codes are usually very good at AKL. $249 this fall during value season for concierge.
