Can someone please help! I am looking to change my reservation from the Wilderness Lodge to the Beach Club in August before a Disney Cruise because of the pool at the Beach Club, my question is, is the Concierge level worth the price compared to a regular room? (Will i be utilizing the services if i am going to be out during the 2 days) It will be myself and my husband and my ten year old son. We are arriving Thursday Aug 16th be there about 10:00 a.m. will be there the whole day going to Legoland on the 17th, and Discovery Cove on the 18th checking out on the 19th for cruise. I would appreciate any input. Thanks again

I don't think it would be worth it given your travel schedule. You probably won't be around the resort very much to make use of the lounge.

Edited: I probably would not bother switching from WL either just for one potential day of using the pool and paying for 3 nights at the resort.

we LOVED the bc cl...i think your son will really like the pool there the one at wl is very small, still nice but small. sab is really neat with a fun slide, my son could spend all day going down it!

I will lead by saying that I am a diehard Beach Club Club Level convert. I wish we were there right now. :lovestruc

Considering the length of time you will actually BE at Beach Club, you might not get the full effect of Club Level awesomeness. So really it's I guess it depends how much you want to check it out and/or save that $$ for something else. The private floor, breakfast and snacks are wonderful (especially with kids) but you will probably miss most of that due to your schedule. Your son will get the great experience of Storm Along Bay no matter where you decide to stay in Beach/Yacht Club.

Good luck with your decision!

I thank you for replying like i said really not concerned with the money i just don't know what you recieve with that level do you know if you get to check in earlier our flight lands at 8:00 am i know you can use the pool but i wonder if you get into your room any earlier can you tell me what kind of food is available and what other things are offered, i mean if snacks and food are available it might be worth it just for the food.

they serve breakfast, cereal, muffins, danishes, fruit, yogurt, oatmeal, juices and coffee and tea.
lunch i can't comment on were never ate there for lunch.
dinner, was mussels, soups cheeses i think meatballs and salads breads, diffrent items are served on a different day.
desserts and cordials at nite and yes snacks are there after lunch, sandwhich types items, cookies (wonderful!) crackers. juices and pop are served i drank mostly ice tea. oh and yes the cl serves coffee (real stuff not the swill in your rooms) at 6:30 and the lounges opens up at 7:00 for breakfast. now our family are not huge eaters we found the food items just fine for meals other will say the offerenings aren't enough, but keep in mind you will be very close to epcot with lots of dining options..to answer your question if cl is worth it? i say yes i is a very nice treat and to have the food there for meals is very convient. have a great trip!:goodvibes

We were just there 2 weeks ago.
  • There is breakfast - the items posted above - oatmeal, baked goods, cereals, etc.
  • There is no lunch.
  • Then snacks in the afternoon - very light. It was chips & dip, maybe some crudités, gummy stuff for the kids, cookies. Not much there. I did not notice any sandwich type items.
  • Hors d'ouerves from 5-7 I think (could be considered a light dinner but it would be not equivalent to an actual dinner).
  • Desserts/cordials from 8-9 or 10.

Lounge is closed at some point in the afternoon - something like 4 - 5 PM or so while they set up for the evening offerings.

Yes, you could use the pool.

No guarantee that you would get into your room before regular 3 PM check-in time.

:thumbsup2 Nicely said.

We were there a few weeks ago and vicki_c described the food offerings well. We were actually okay with the appetizers for dinner a few nights, we had big lunches those days and weren't really hungry.

There is never any guarantee that you will get a room request, or an early checkout, however a request with IPO does seems to "up the odds" that you can get in the room early.

Also, the lounge was open at night after they took away dessert and cordials. You could get water and snacks, the same offerings as during the day (gummy bears, trail mix, yogurt covered pretzels). My daughter took an early flight home and had to be at ME at 4:00 AM. I walked her down to ME, past the lounge, it was open with snacks...I wasn't interested but it is good to know.
