concierge gifts

We just returned from AKL concierge and would like to send a thank you gift to the staff. since there are so many cm that help during your stay I wasn't sure what to send that they would enjoy. Any ideas. thanks beth

Hi Fellow PA Disney Fan - When we stayed at the concierge level at the AKL we took a basket full of PA products - hershey chocolates, PA dutch pretzels & bologna, etc. They seemed to enjoy it. Sherry

Hello fellow PA'ians. I am from Southern York Cty and we are planning our September vacation to AKL concierge right now. I just have to ask how you enjoyed your trip? We have never stayed concierge. Actually, we usually stay moderates, but with the FTP, we couldn;t resist. I'm not sure I can wait! Give me all the details! Did you like the 6th floor rooms? How is the pool? How was the concierge staff and food offerings?

When my boyfriend and I stayed at the Boardwalk concierge, we sent a basket of pastries from the Bwalk Bakery on the first day we were there and a thank you note after we left on b/c they were such a great staff!!

We loved the resort and have stayed there several times. The food was a little exotic, but also had pb&j and chicken fingers as stand bys. The pool was large and warm, a lot of chairs, but those close by are saved ALL day. I know you will love it.

Since we are home I was thinking of sending Hersheys chocolate-will it arrive melted? Any other ideas? Who has an address to send to other than PO box. thanks. Beth

When I stayed at WL concierge for the first time I asked one of the staff members how we could show our appreciation to the staff. He immediately said write a letter to Disney. He said that positive comments/letters help very much at review time.

I'm sure they appreciate gifts but just think how old that would get. How much chocolate can you eat???

However on the letter front just think how important that could be. My wife has a job that works with the public and includes comment cards. The negative comments beat positive ones by 10 to 1 if not even more. I bet it is even worse for a concierge position. Just think about how many guests think they are entitled to the sun, the moon and the stars and if they don't get it they COMPLAIN!!!
