Concierge First-Timer - Weirdly Specific Questions

Wasn't feeling good tonight so set an alarm on my phone to check and good thing I did because I dozed off on the sofa. But I did get a cabana!!!!!!! And concierge on my cruise must be emptier than I thought because it's exactly what I wanted--I'd requested #11 or lower to be on the beach side and got #8. Yay!!!! Happy dance!

Thanks to everyone for all the emotional support while I fretted about it. Now I just have to really keep my fingers crossed between now and August hoping that this cruise actually sails....

Wasn't feeling good tonight so set an alarm on my phone to check and good thing I did because I dozed off on the sofa. But I did get a cabana!!!!!!! Yay! So happy for you. We are a little nervous that if this “second wave” comes it will not be over by mid April 2021 for our cruise. Crossing my fingers for yours. Take care of yourself and get better. Today was my first day with NO symptoms!

Yay! So glad you are feeling better. Still take it easy for a few days though and get lots of rest—I tried to rush into things when I felt better and it all came back.

P.S. Was looking again this morning (still seems too good to be true to got our dream cabana) and noticed Palo Brunch was only booked for me, not me and DH as requested (and I even noted in the request we were celebrating our wedding anniversary that day)! I guess just mentioning it as a little PSA to double check concierge got it right. Luckily this cruise seems to be a ghost town because I had no trouble cancelling my solo brunch rebooking it for both of us at our preferred time.

I think if you had asked shoreside about it, they would have told you that the reservation was there for two, but was just showing up as only one of you for some reason I don't remember. My Palo brunch reservation in July looks online like it is only for 1 but is actually for 2. But if you were able to fix it yourself, that's probably even better.

FYI, when we were at CC in February, the storm has washed away the sand between the main beach area and the lagoon that used to be adjacent to the higher family beach cabanas. So now all the cabanas share the same water.

Good to know! I had been looking at youtube videos but they were older. If we ever do concierge again I guess I will know it doesn't really matter then

Awesome! You have, in my opinion, the best cabana on the beach. We've been in #8 a few times and loved the location and view.

I assumed your odds of getting a cabana were really good when you mentioned there are still 18 (maybe 21) Concierge staterooms available.
