This april we're going on our 4th DCL cruise, first concierge one, on the Dream.
I know there are a lot of things that are for 'free' than, but what about alcohol? Is that free during happy hour? I'm lost.
TIA

On the Fantasy and Dream they have free drinks in the concierge lounge before both dinner seatings. I'm not sure about the Wonder and Magic.

yes- on the Dream, during happy hour, in the concierge lounge, they provide free drinks- beer, wine, champagne, mixed drinks (cocktails)

There is also alcohol and snack foods offered when you board and are taken to the concierge lounge to review your itinerary and make other requests for your cruise (don't forget to request a galley tour if you're interested and they might be offering one - unadvertised!), mixology or other tasting events, meet and greets, spa treatments that you didn't book online, and basically anything you would have normally stood in line at guest services for. The concierge hosts can also apply gift cards to your account, etc. There can be a wait to sit down with one of the concierge hosts during that immediate time after you board, if there are too many families and not enough hosts to go around. But while you're waiting, make yourself at home in the lounge. Terrific, cozy place to hang out and enjoy a drink or two and some nibbles! Take the stairs up top to deck 13 right from the lounge into the concierge sundeck and look around! After you've met the hosts, you can even leave your carry on bags with them in the lounge area and go to cabanas for lunch or hit the Aquaduck for some water time! Make the most of that lounge - you're certainly paying enough for it, but I hope you enjoy the pampering!!

Oh, and don't forget that you'll probably want to tip the concierge lounge bartender at the end of the cruise. There is no spot on the gratuity form to do so, so we usually hand him or her cash for taking care of our drinks during the length of the cruise. I find anything for $20 - $50 is generally appropriate for us... depending on how much you utilized their services. They are always very grateful for the tip. I'm sure they're compensated somehow for all the free drinks they pour, but they are usually deserving of a bit extra directly from the guests, in my opinion.

The private meet and greet also has open bar.

Enjoy the lounge! We had breakfast there daily and it was a great place to hang out and plan our day.

Thanks for the info. This is all very helpful. Now we just have to wait until april:rolleyes1

They had open bar at the meet and greet on the Fantasy in April, but they did not have it during the same time on the Dream in December. Instead they were going around with smoothies...
