We are headed back to BC in 6 weeks after being away from "home" for over 3 years. What is the current status of the coffee in the lounge? Is it still the old Nescaffe machines or is it the pod kind they have at AKL? Is there any type of protein available at breakfast such as hard boiled eggs, cheese, or yogurt?

It's still the old Nescafé machine as of this morning when we checked out. Yes they have hard boiled eggs and yogurt (mixed fruit flavor). They also have cereal, oatmeal, bagels, croissants, and assorted pastries.

I made all my reservations prior to booking CL but left one spot open to hopefully snag a BOG ressie. I asked IPO to make ressie as soon as reservation times open for booking. My question is do you think they will have a good shot at getting my reservation or should I just try and do it myself? I am afraid my request will get lost in the shuffle and I REALLY REALLY want to try and snag this for DD. We need it for December 13 so close to its opening.

Thank you for this new thread Scott MC! I just wanted to point out on page 1 that I don't think it is correct to say that there are no children's items or wine at SL during the 5-7pm Wine and Cheese. Unless I missed something since being there in May. I believe they serve the exact same menu as RPC.

Now a question for you all. I booked BC in October with a BB. We have been going CL lately but do you think it's worth it to do BC CL during F and W?

I think you will be fine with IPO making this for you. I had ask IPO to book us for a dinner reservation if BOG opened during our trip. He sent me an e-mail today to let me know the opening date for BOG and it will be after our trip. I have never had a problem with IPO securing our requested date and time or close to time. Including very popular Food and Wine signiture dinners.

That said if you are more comfortable booking it yourself then I would book it on your own to keep from going slight crazy. One thing I have noticed is it appears the CL IPO has some pull or saved reservations. They have booked things for us that were not available on Disney's booking sites.

We're trying for a ressie at BOG the same day!
I'm kind of a control freak, so I'm going to do it myself so if our IPO isn't able to get it, I won't be saying "I wish I would have done it myself".

Trying to move our 7pm ressie for CRT ON THE 12th to closer to 5:00 or 6:00 since we decided to go to MVMCP for sure, but I have the IPO at the Poly checking every day, and I'm checking every day and no luck for about the past month.
Oh well! As long as DD gets to see her beloved Princesses and especially the PRINCES, like we did last year, she will be happy! :)

Maybe someone else will have Sun-Tues. menu.

I have been trying so hard not to switch from Wl cl to Poly Cl. This menu is not helping.:faint: Has anybody stayed at both and can you convince me Wl Cl will measure up to Poly Cl. We have stayed at both resorts, but only Club level at Poly. I really hated the rooms at Wl so this is also a factor in my descision.

Any thoughts on AKl Cl? This will be a first for us.

At the moment we are also booked in SV CL room at YC. This is will be our second stay at YC CL. I 'm hoping a GV CL at BC or Yc becomes available before our trip. How bad are the SV views? Anbody? Thanks.

Just wondering... has anyone ever received a discount for a CL room at the WL? We're booked in a deluxe room next summer and while we don't need a discount, it's hard thinking that we're spending so much!

Are club level rooms in general rarely discounted?

I know there's not a "real" answer and depends on availability etc, but just curious what others have found.

We have a 35% BB discount for AKL CL for our upcoming trip, soooon :hyper:

I've had SV CL at both BC and YC and had partial SAB views at both. You could see some roof too, but pretty decent for SV. At YC we had a great Illuminations view too.

I agree that Poly CL menu looks awesome! Can't wait to be back to my favorite CL! :cool1:

For those interested and have been asking about AKL CL, I'm going to try to post Live Reports on the AKL thread.

Sorry, no pics, I don't know how to upload to this board :(

We leave Tues for 8 nights in Ft. Lauderdale to take care of family business, then heading for AKL for 12 nights :cloud9: First 6 nights booked regular Pool View room, then next 6 nights are CL :yay:

Did on linecheck in this morning :goodvibes woohoo!

IHTM- Thanks that makes me feel a little better. LV is available at BC, but I'm trying hard not to spend more. We shall see if I can control myself.

Sue M- Looking forward to your review. I had no idea what to request as far as a room so I requested "close to Lobby". The last time we were there in a non-cl room we were a mile from the lobby. No Joke. I never knew hallways could be so long.

Has anyone stayed in a YC CL Deluxe room recently and can post pics? I've seen pics of the BC Deluxe room, but can't seem to find any of YC. There is an old thread from 2008 or 2009 with this request, but there aren't any pics on there. I've checked the BC/YC thread, but can't find anything there either. TIA for any info anyone can give :flower3:.

SueM,

I would love to follow your live report but could you provide a link to which thread you will be posting on? There are so many different ones, lol! Hope you all have a great trip!

Can someone provide the link to the AKL club

Here is the link for the thread that Sue is going to post her live report on. It is an AKL Lite thread. It is a great supportive group of people. We will gladly answer any questions regarding AKL or Kadani. How awesome to have a live report on there. :thumbsup2

Wonderful new thread, Scott MC!!:thumbsup2 Love the photos.

I've been trying to get some of the Grand info corrected, especially in the following paragraph:

The Concierge Lounge is located on the fourth floor. Here, guests may enjoy a continental breakfast from 6:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. The continental breakfast includes danish, bagels, cereal, fresh fruits, coffee, tea and juice. "Daily Delights" from 11:30am to 2:30pm (the menu varies daily, but usually includes a meat dish, fruits and a vegetarian dish, including cookies, coffee, sodas and juices). Afternoon tea from 3pm to 4:30pm (includes scones, fruit breads, cookies, jam tarts, and of course, tea). Twilight Refreshments from 5pm to 7pm (includes wine and cheese, with appetizer type dishes served. NOTE: The Sugar Loaf Key Building serves a different Twilight Refreshment service, with no wine or children's items being offered). "Grand Indulgences" (desserts and cordials) from 8pm to 10pm. Other concierge amenities include robes (for use while at the resort).

The Sugar Loaf food offerings are exactly the same as RPC and have been for many years now. This is old info that has been floating around the 'net and confusing guests.;)

The names & times of the various offerings have altered slightly, and there are no "meat and vegetarian dishes" (other than crudites) during the mid-day Refreshments. Not sure how long ago that was accurate!

Thanks for starting the new thread.:goodvibes I know it's time consuming going through all the info, just wanted to alert you to the changes.

:wave2: I was happy to read this post, as DD and I have a SV CL room booked at YC next week. Can't upgrade due to the discount or I would book a GV CL room. I've been wondering what type of view we would get, my only request to IPO was "near the lounge"!
